really really interesting. so we were right about kushina being the former host…but what the hell is with naruto turning in the last airbender?! so i suppose he inherited the sage’s body whereas next chapter we’ll see sasuke has inherited the sage’s eyes? i’m waiting for bob on this one
good chapter, but i hope with the kyuubi chakra he got and with some kind of outside help he can learn something besides rasengans. It was kind of cool seeing hundreds of clones throwing down giant rasengans but would be nice to see him use some other kind of technique. i am still not sure if i like kushina being the previous host. Seems like a couple of holes need to be filled first but the story she tells hopefully will make sense and explain some stuff. also someone mentioned this on the chapter 498 post but i also found it interesting that little necklace around narutos neck after he drained the fox looked alot like the sage’s necklace. Maybe naruto will learn some of the sages of the paths techniques ( far fetched i know but i can hope, not to mention we dont really know what the sage could do sides make a literal moon).

@ uchiha; good point. supposedly i think it was the uchiha were the descendents of the sage paths which inherited the eyes while the senji were the descendents who contained the spiritual energy of the sage. Honestly though i was hoping it would be a little different buttt i guess history is bound to repeat itself. this means sasuke will get a uber powerful eye technique while naruto gets the ultimate energy…. sigh tired of sasuke getting so manny damn power ups lol
I cant help but feel sorry for the Kyubi after all of this. I think Naruto and Kyubi may really develop a working relationship later on.

That last Menacing Ball was freaking epic! It looked like Goku’s Spirit Bomb, or Frieza’s Supernova, or Baby’s Revenge Death Ball, or etc etc etc (every DBZ character has an attack that size lol)
@kisu u kno something i actually did near the end of the chapter. at first during the barrages i was pumped that he was getting his ass kicked.. but after getting hit with a windshuriken and than held down like a dog and caged… it was slightly disheartening lol. maybe soon he and naruto can have a relationship like killerbee and the 8 tails have
so it was cool to see naruto turn into the sage of the six paths when he absorbed the fox’s chakra, and im going to assume that was the sage’s sealing technique that naruto used.
i think it was sick how kushina tripped the fox at the start of the rasengan barage. though i am curious. after naruto sucked up the fox’s chakra and turned into the sage of the six paths body, the fox was still able to make that huge ball of chakra he was going to fling at naruto. where did that power come from?
also, the explanation of the events that happend 16 years ago should be interesting next week. sense that would seem to make a couple of huge plot holes where it concernes madara, and previous jinchuriki in the village hidden in the leaves.

i guess what happend 16 years ago is that kushina lost control of the kyuubi may be after she delivered naruto and transformed to 9 tails and then minato decided to seal the kushina turned to nine tails inside naruto. my theory is the seal kushina has is about to open when she delivers a child and since its already a fact to minato and kushina and may be madara… they made a game plan ahead of time that if the kyuubi breaks out of her…they must seal the kyuubi to naruto and complete the jutsu of controlling over it. this instance may be the reason why minato created the Shiki FÅ«jin to seal the kyuubi along with kushina.

XD it was pretty epic, although it did kinda fall apart after Naruto sealed the Kyuubi (Meth smokin-head lookin self after gettin chakra sucked out.)
I loved how he was like “Oh noes Naruto donts do it <:0!" And he was like "Dont make me angry" pft who does he think he is? The Hulk? XD.
On a more serious note, i posted this on the other chapter summary, but HOW the hell did kyuubi manage to pull that out of his ass after getting drained by naruto?? Im so confuzzled on that lol.

sage if six paths, NARUTO?? really wow, i know he’s cool and all, but i dont like him holding that title, or being compared to him even, but makes sense with sasuke getting the eyes,
but if thats the case, how come madara didnt turn to sage of 6 paths (eye version) when he took his brothers eye, doesnt make sense that sasuke is going down that road and he didnt (which makes me believe he could be faking it and really be just tobi/obito lol)

Yeap you were right, now we just need kushina’s explanations to fill in the holes on HOW she is the former host.
Because it seemed like everyone thought it was just a freak of nature when it attacked the village, and Minato’s statement that Tobi/maddara was controlling it at the time. Hopefully in two weeks Kushina will give us the down low ya dig?
yeah i suppose i should offer props to those who thought she was, i was die-hard against it. i still see some plot holes that i find hard to fill with the incident 16 years ago and there actually being a jinchuriki. oh well i guess we will know in 2 weeks.
So I’m interested in seeing if kushina had the kyuubi the whole time from her youth on and if so it seems odd that konoha didn’t seem to have their own tailed beasts while others like the sand villaga did.
I think now Killerbees training will properly start! he may help him utilise the chakra properly and show use it efficently! 🙂 going into 1, 2, 3 ,4 tails and so on! and it wont burn his skin now either. Also down the line he will probably combine sage mode and kyubi chakra to for a hybrid!
I loved this chapter but it sucks that there won’t be another next wee so we have to wait till the June 30th for the next chapter! I haven’t been this excited about Naruto in a long time and Kishi pulls this!!!!!!
I am surprised Kushina was the last Kyuubi Jinchuuriki, I really didn’t think she was! I wonder if she had full control of the Kyuubi, because if she did she could have been stronger than Minato.
Naruto looked so cool in Sage of the Six Paths mode, I wonder if he will look like that when he fights, I hope so. I hope that FINALLY he get some new TECHNIQUES KISHI!!!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love the Rasengan and the shadow clones aren’t too bad but please let’s try going one fight without either one!!!!!!!

what i cant get ym head around is that how come she came to the Village and why she was the vessel for kyubi, because as far as i know she wasnt related too the senju clan! or any of the hokages which usually they are to prevent them for running away.
Maybe Kushina’s special chakra gave Konoha the idea to seal the Kyuubi in her. Based on her abilities it looks like she could have controlled the Kyuubi on her own! I like Kushina a lot, she is so funny and cool and she is just like Naruto and just as cool. I hope this isn’t the last we see of either of them!
i agree, i think kushina is among my top 3 favorite characters, and we have only seen for for all of 2 chapters. it would be awesome if naruto can learn how to bring them back from death somehow, but alas that really shouldnt happen as it would cheapen death.

I figured that since we have to wait awhile for the next chapter and since we are so good at predicting the direction Kishi is going to take ( Like Kushina being the previous Kyuubi Jinchuuriki) we could try to piece together what happened all those years ago!
We all know the Shodai Hokage had the power to control all Tailed Beasts and at one time he had in his possession all Nine Tailed Beasts! According to Madara Uchiha, Hashirama Senju ( Shodai Hokage) gave away Tailed Beasts in treaties to other villages to prevent wars from erupting. We also know that the Kyuubi was sealed into Naruto sixteen years ago but Kishi gave of the impression that he was the first Kyuubi Jinchuuriki. Think about it, Everyone in Konoha believed the Kyuubi attacked to Leaf village out of a natural disaster and Madara summoned to Kyuubi, why would they say that if the Kyuubi was already kept hidden away inside the village! I don’t know maybe I am over thinking things but there is a lot more to it.
Now we know Kushina Uzumaki was the previous Jinchuuriki, but she hailed from the Whirlpool country (it’s not common for a village to seal their tailed beast into an outsider) but my guess is that is why she was bought over from the Whirlpool country, since Kushina had this special chakra ability that could trap Bijuu, she was the best option to control the Kyuubi as a Jinchuuriki! The big whole in the story is how the Kyuubi broke out of Kushinas seal!
We know that once it was out Madara took control and used it to attack the village, again, my guess is that Kushina a strong Kunoichi and on top of that the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki which would make her even stronger so Madara waited until she had Naruto when she was vulnerable and attacked and broke the seal releasing the Kyuubi which killed her, then attacked the village and then Madara had to stop them.
now that Naruto has Kyubi, Sage Mode is useless.

@kisu agreed although the kyuubi sage hybrid may have unforeseen benefits and sage mode also lessens damage and pain felt anf taken so that And kyuubi would make naruto pretty durable and make him last even longer than before. Sage/kyuubi mode can be achieved better now without the fox’s influence perhaps.
Someone call PETA or something, Naruto is hurting a deranged fox. 🙂 something tells me that Naruto plans on one day either having a decent working relationship with the fox or he plans on one day setting it free, common who likes being in a cage all day, animal abuse.

True but i think Sage mode has some pros to it, like adding itself to kyuubi for more of all that.
And kyuubi doesnt allow you to sense others chakra’s, hence sage mode does, sage mode can be used to increase ACTUAL physical strength idk if kyuubi mode does that its just the chakra cloak power i think but im not sure.
But on the whole your right, Sage mode is just an alternative, or rather something to use if you dont want to blow up everything within a 50mile radius, so if you dont want to kill everything in sight sage mode is the way to go XD lol.
I want to see how much the kyuubi power increases naruto’s RasenShuriken and naruto himself since he now ACTUALY owns the Kyuubi’s chakra, which means its actually his chakra as a whole new one now.
“now that Naruto has Kyubi, Sage Mode is useless.”: I think it has two uses, 1. a way to channel the fox’s power instead of going full beast or chakra cloaked modes 2. If the Kyubbi goes down for the count, say a certain sharingan user seals him with his trump card ( the one after all his curent ones), then Naruto has powers to fall back on (also it’s good for the who would win/own power debates).

This chapter was one of the best in the last few weeks.
the Battle was interesting. THe kyuubi’s emotion really touched me. i guess him and Naruto had a great connection, tho they hardly knew it. Kyuube said that “i wont forget this” he must hate feeling like a dog (sealing in a cage. cmon. its been 15 years, let the guy go.) but Naruto did leave wit ha good sign “i wont hurt you, wait, just wait” what if all these demons want is to be understood? they’re always battle,d always fought, but isnt it their nature? isnt it normal? is it too much too bond with them, and Naruto (and Bee) did that well. You could see that connection
Kushina died b4 minato sealed it, obviously. but i want to know HOW she died. she was strong. as strong as minato maybe. did the Kyuubi’s power become too much because of some triggered emotion? or an event. like maybe she realized what happened to her village?
Well i guess we’ll find out.

This chapter was rididulous, cant wait for 500, that ones gonna blow us away. I think we definitely get to see sasuke’s EMS and learn how naruto got to inherit the Kyubi.
After reading this chapter my brain is going crazy with all the speculation thats all gonna be cleared up in the following chapters. First off.. with sasuke’s EMS he is definetly on par with naruto. I dont think that naruto is the actual sage of six paths but just reminds the kyubi of him since he was once apart of him. Naruto is leading up to achieving the sages full body. i noticed when he got the sage’s necklace he didnt have the sages full body. His left arm and his legs were missing so i think that he still has a few more things to learn.

DK, yeah that’s what I’m thinking. The Kyubi has always been used by ppl, Hashirama, Madara and Jinchurikis. Maybe the embodiment of hatred only became the embodiment of hatred because it was exposed to Man’s hatred.

It was probably minatos idea to seal the nine tails into kushina, i mean the other kages chose family members to be host, and knowing her chakra, minato probably thought that she had a good chance of becoming the perfect host. The whole thing was probably a secret since all of konoha thinks it was a freak accident. maybe madara used his power to get into kushinas mind (just like what sasuke did to naruto and overwelm her allowing the 9 tails to be realeased.

Well we dont know exactly what the ems allows you to do, so at this point im giving the overal edge to Naruto, he just gained a huge power-up along with ridding himself of his dark side (or rather come to terms with it) and possibly is about to gain his Gekei kenkei
So far the only known effects of gaining the EMS are (and even this is only speculation and not proven) Immortality, and eternal Mangeakou Sharingan, so that just means he POSSIBLY wont go blind, and POSSIBLY will not die from AGING.
Unless further evidence is shown, Saskue is still the same as when he was fighting danzo, but im sure Kishi willl again just hand over something to the little emo boy.
On other matters, im curious whats going on outside the Island, whats the state of Konoha? Are the villages gathering their armies yet? Wtf is up with Kabuto and what the hell is he REALLy up to because we all know that BS about learning about jutsu was a cover up for something else and Maddara/tobi know it. And what was really in the coffin? Could it have been the Sage or maddara’s real body?
Im kinda thirsty for other news, but im content to learn the backstory on the Kyuubi attack and about kushina being the host, i just wanted to remind everyone other shit is still going on outside of naruto’s mind fuck lately 🙂

Agreed its mostly a spam technique now like multiple variations of the Rasengan. However im eager to see what the Kyuubi-Sage mixture could alllow naruto to do.
Even more intresting is naruto’s power up with Kyuubi, i always loved seeing him go wild and completly fuck up everyone while in kyuubi-powered up rage. And i reallly hope he can use the Kyuubi’s true form when fighting people like Bee did agaisnt Saskue
I thought this chapter was the best in quite a while.
Sage mode was an important stepping stone in being able to defeat the kyuubi.
I’d have to say I didn’t get sick of the Rasengans… The kyuubi could have done a little less lying on his back though.
I can’t wait until the next chapter.
I’m betting the Konoha 11 will have to fight Kabuto and his Zombies.
And why didn’t Kisame jump in and stop Naruto from mastering the kyuubi? As great as it is to watch Akatsuki just lost some considerable ground with two perfect hosts.

Yea, see i still dont understand why Minato only sealed half the Kyuubi in Naruto….why not the whole thing? It would make more sense if he really wanted naruto to take down Tobi/maddara.
Another thing since Half the fox’s power is in the reaper seal, is it even possibe for the Jubii to be realeased? IF the jubii story is even real. Remember Tobi could still be BS’ing, though i doubt it. Its just an unlikely story. That and even if its real, how would they even begin to get the Jubii back to earth?

maybe this “madara” put out of his ass the juubi think (double sense) and maybe his is actually behind naruto´s body and sasgay eyes to become the sage of the six paths
that rasengan barrage was cool but maybe now taht naruto have the kyubi chacra he maybe could use it this barrage without the bunch of clones. he have to do exactly the same thing that he do while fighting orochimaru in four-tails mode. before hi use the “canon” the four tails make a bunch of orbs of chackra now that naruto is a expert on manipuling chackra just have to add some fuuton technique and voila new rasengan barrage without the clones
oh man this chapter was awesome!!!! i cnt wait to see wut naruto can do!!! i dnt see how sasugay stands a chance now…. Sasuke has fire/lighting afinity…. but naruto can counter both… the lighting with his wind, and the fire with KYUUBIII!!!! He showed he can eat a fire atk with kyuubi chakara the last time he fought sasugay… altho i am still worried cuz the fox wont be braking sasukes genjutsu… but the again sasugay counterd itachis genjutsu with chakra by simply over powering him… and we all kno naruto has more power….
Very interesting chapter, I found three noticeable pieces of information but I’ll save them for Bob’s post. I would however like to post my own theory on the event sixteen years ago, and I didn’t read every post above me so if a part of yours appears in mine, my bad haha.
First of all, I think Kushina’s special chakra was a Bijju controller of some kind and that’s why she “moved” to the hidden leaf and the cloud ninja were after her so much. The may have still been having trouble with the 8 tails at this time so she would’ve been useful. I quotation marked the “moved” because I think the leaf made arrangements for her to join the village for the specific purpose of having her control the Kyuubi, the greatest of the Bijju. I mean if the cloud were having trouble with 8, then 9 must’ve been rough. Well the sealing probably went fine and Kushina may have even managed to control the Kyuubi, (he knows her chakra well) and life went on peacefully. The Kushina had Naruto and he was just a normal boy until Madara appeared and used the first Bijju extraxtion method to pull the nine tails out, putting Kushina at deaths door. I know the regualr extraction process kills instantly but he had to do it by himself and she has special chakra, not sure about this thought, and she needed time to work with Minato to reseal the 9. Anyway, Madara sicked the fox on Konoha and called it a natural occurrence but those closest knew the truth. Minato and Bunta beat the fox down enough for both Minato and Kushina to seal the fox in the only vessal capable of housing it, Naruto. Naruto works because he also has the same special chakra, whatever it may be.
That’s all I have and I apologize for it being lengthy but I just wanted to get the whole thought out. Any opinions are cool by me haha
wow!!! amazing episode! what does this sage of six path reference mean for naruto? How will effect his sage mode. Definately see this as a way in which he can now stay in sage mode almost indefinately or combine it to form a whole new form. Nature Energy + Kyuubi Energy which is hectic!
i think we will have a few mysteries uncovered next week and primarily how the kyuubi was forced out of kushina and to attack the village. No doubt we will have a huge twist revealed next week.
I really hope they have a mini training session so we get a demo of Naruto’s powers asap otherwise i think it will be flicking back to sasuke’s new EMS which mind you will be interesting as well.
Knowing that dramatic entrances are the thing in naruto no doubt he will enter as when the odds are against the 5 kages. and no doubt that will be when they are fighting kabuto’s puppets. The new super powered naruto will just crush all the resurrected akatsuki in one fell blow!

Naruto is the other half of the kyuubi. The DDCS Was just used to remove enough chakra to transform Naruto into a human (the kyuubi had possessed Naruto in the womb) and the seal to keep him good.

1. What does this sage body mean for Naruto, and he barely acknowledged it. I would be like “OH SHIT! i’m god now?” Someone said earlier up there that they didn’t like how Naruto was being lined up to become the sage, and i agree. I don’t think Naruto should become THAT powerful. i think the sage should be left alone, and Naruto should be his own name, not “the new sage”
2. If Sasuke’s eternal mangekyou sharingan can control the kyuubi… well doesn’t that mean he can control the kyuubi? The sages eyes controlled the fox, so i don’t know what that will do towards naruto using it in battle.
3. How come just because Naruto sucked in the Kyuubi’s chakra, he got the sages body? What did Killer Bee get… shit?
I think this is poop how naruto only used sage mode once before he got an upgrade that’s gonna blow that shit out the water. I hope its not gonna be useless now. i think being a sage + kyuubi’s chakra might be what turned him into the Sage.

When you remember Kushina couldn’t control fox like KB she stil had “darkside”, so maybe just madara proveked some emotions and it was done, but then i don’t know how she was able help Minato and seal the fox inside Naruto – so this theory isn’t very probable.
Second by using some Sharingang techniques Tobi{ Im convinced Tobi is not exactly Madara} just extracted fox from Kushina – more probably, but still not true story I think
About that whole Naruto sage mode+ kyubii combination I think this won’t be possible because while he is using natural chakra kyubi’s charka will make it dissappear like it will distrupted balance beetween all those chakras.
Tobi gave time to Naruto to control kyubi maybe just for reach level and awake his sage of the six paths’s body possibilities. Like he forced Saskegay into fight with 5 kages and danzo just awake his true powers. He still has some plan, which will be similar to what he introduced to 5 kages. He need to revive sage of the six paths’s body and eyes in order to restore jubi. Key to this will be Kabuto he is the only one, who knows true backround story about Tobi and his new identity. Maybe Tobi just provoked {if it was him} kyubi’s attack in order to gain sasuke, maybe that’s why Itachi didn’t want that Sasuke met Tobi.

i take back all my complaints about the things that needed to be done on kishi’s side before the battle of naruto and the kyuubi. seemed that the battle was the key to naruto’s past and the truth behind what happened 16 years ago. this story and “truth” is so critical at this time, naruto will know exactly what’s on madara’s mind (if he really is madara)
things are starting to make sense, and now i can assume why minato knew about madara’s existence and why he knew the kyuubi was being controlled.
wait, i take that back, tobi really is madara (or at least, madara was the one behind the kyuubi’s rampage 16 years ago), thanks to what the kyuubi told sasugay.
since the uchiha boy easily looked inside naruto and saw the kyuubi (and suppressed its power), madara (with the full manguku) should be easily capable of doing the same to kushina and purging the seal within her. hmmmm makes lots of sense now.
so the kyuubi wasn’t actually “summoned” it was purged from inside the previous host.
That was awesome I just hope kishi doesn’t introduce some major plot holes next chapter.

i’m not sure if that’s necessarily true, but i think it’s possible that controlling the juubi’s power has something to do with that necklace appearing on his neck. the kyuubi should have the closest power (and hate) to the juubi (since it’s the one with the most amount of tails) and that’s why it’s hate is so much greater than that of all the other bijuu.
i’m not sure KB would have been able to control the kyuubi. but naruto did. and after doing so, he as released every dark aspect of his heart, hence “sage” or “enlightenment” symbolized by that necklace.
we’re not sure if the sage of the six paths was called by that name before or after he controlled the juubi, but one thing is for sure, naruto is the closest to him since the level of “enlightenment” naruto has achieved to control the kyuubi is far greater than all the previous hosts and closest to the original sage of the six paths.
naruto being at the same level of the sage?? not quite. since the juubi’s power and hate are greater than that of the kyuubi. Naruto didn’t control the kyuubi on his own. however, we can say that the namekazis (minato, kushina, and naruto, combined) have power very close to that of the sage. but still, it took all of minato’s family to control the kyuubi which is theoretically weaker than the juubi, only the sage “alone” controlled the juubi. pretty powerful (and hate-free) dude if u ask me.

I just realized that Naruto now has the power to wipe out an entire village of the face of the earth at almost no cost to him at all, Sage Mode+Mass Shadow Clone Jutsu(Optional)+Gargantuan Rasengan= Total Pawnage to any village he chooses, that or any other tailed beast he wishes to annihilate. The Kyuubi enhancement just makes it way easier.

i disagree about naruto’s sage mode being useless. i find it hard to believe that something so powerfull as sage mode would become useless just because naruto can use the fox chakra now.
lets not forget that during the kage meeting arc naruto was starting to work on making sage mode last longer, on the way to a permanent sage mode. and briefly during the end of the pain arc fox chakra started to enhance sage mode.
my theory is the boost to naruto’s own chakra with the fox’s will enable a whole new level of sage mode powered by fox chakra. imagine naruto in a permanent sage mode powered by the fox’s chakra. in increase to his sensor abilities in general would be enourmous. not tomention other unforseen side effects of power.

Dont Forget RasenShuriken either, just one of those would be even more devastating than the Barrage of Gargautan Rasengan, or rather think if naruto could do a RASEN SHuriken Barrage, now THAT IS SOMETHING to fear he could wipe out an entire country now if he utilizes the foxes power with all of that. Plus sage mode if he does figure out an unlimited mode for that.
And if even if he didnt use sage mode or his powers, he could just summon just a little bit of the foxes power and wipe out a village, no cost to himself, just go 6tailed and use a quick menacing ball then waltz out of there lol.
you know kushina being a host brings up a lot of therories but i think this one will work.
kushina ‘moved’ to the leaf right. well we all know the life of the Jinchuuriki so she was probably run out of whirlpool before the attack happend. it is also possible that naruto was born with part of the kyuubi’s chakra that’s why he was chosen to be the next Jinchuuriki. but there are still a few lose ends such as how did she die and when kyuubi got out. as for the sage part and us going ” WTF!” i honestly hope that he doesn’t keep us waiting more than two weeks.

It makes the most sense that she was still the Jinchurriki the night Naruto was born. I would guess that Tobi went after Naruto and Kushina lost control. It is possible that Minato battled Tobi for a while before this happened, perhaps while she was giving birth.
One thing I find weird though, is that no one spoke about Kushina being the 9-tails host before. Was it just that she was a container and didn’t use the 9-tails chakra at all? Her chakra seems to be good at keeping the 9-tails pinned down, but no one ever mentioned her in the list of being able to control a tailed beast, which means either she was an imperfect Jinchurriki, like Naruto up until now, or she never tried or could try.
It also is still unclear to me if she was taken by the Hidden Cloud for the Kyuubi or her chakra. I feel like maybe they wanted Kushina because they were having trouble with the 8-tails and they felt maybe she could contain it… ?
I was really hoping Kushina would have something special besides being the previous host… this would make Naruto seem like an even more special guy, that his lineage was even more powerful than we thought. I guess this could still be the case, but somehow I liked the idea of Minato & Kushina working together the night Naruto was born. Well, we shall see in 2 wks…

Yeah I had forgotten about Rasenshuriken, now imagine if he did a Gargantuan Rasenshuriken Barrage, end of a Nation as we know it. I know they are recycled moves and all and that Naruto has limited jutsu in some respects, but the way he uses them is ingenious. I think that the fight with Sasuke will start of with both at base mode with summons or whatever and progresively each will show their abilities gradually, Naruto’s Sage Mode and Sasuke’s MS, and then they will show of their new techniques, such as Kyuubi Control and SSPM(Sage of Six Paths Mode) and Sasuke with his EMS.
My Theory:
The tailed beast only occur when the village of the current beast failed in be able to fully control the beast (as we seen during the 8 tails progress). Shortly after Kushina was moved to the village the previous host failed in being able to control the Kyuubi and cause a rampaged on the Hidden Leaf, somehow during that rampage Kushina was on the battlefield and with her unique charka it tamed the beast and the higger ups saw that she will be a good new host. Years later, the higher ups and Minato knew that the birth of Naruto would possible lead to the release of the kyuubi. Since Kushina successfully gave birth to Naruto without the release of Kyuubi, Madara/Tobi appears to Kushina recovery bed and kidnapped her. Somewhere in the hidden of the leaf forest Madara/Tobi removed the sealed and placed the fox under genjustu. Kushina body then turns into the ‘Fox’ and attacked the village. Minato along with Chief Toad beat the fox and seal the fox into Naruto; by sealing the fox inside of Naruto he also sealed Kushina and some of his own charka in Naruto to help him later to control the beast.

as this manga goes on it proves more and more that Neji was right. Only people born special can be powerful (and if being the son of the Fourth, having a Biju, being born with massive enough chakra to learn Sage Mode and apparently being a descendant of the Sage of Six doesnt make you special, what does?).
On a side note, Naruto isnt the Sage of Six Paths, his seal only took the Sage’s shape, possibly because the Kyubi was once a part of the Sage. Also, if Naruto has the Sage’s body, what does Sasugay have? The EMS doesnt count as the Sage’s eyes. The Rinnegan is the Sage’s eyes…..and that spiral (this seems more like something Naruto would have) eyes that his son had
This may sound crazy but bear with me: if you notice the sharingan tomes they look like the sages necklace. Is it possible that the sharingan is a imperfect and very raw rinnbgan or rinnengan like? Perhaps ems is a closer version of the rinnengan in terms of power. What do You guys think??
@Token, the Sharingan and Byakugan ARE descendants of the Rinnegan, just nowhere near as powerful (this is especially true for the Byakugan lol). But I dont think the tomoes have anything to do with it.

Yea we know he isnt the Sage, he’s freakni naruto lol. Its just that with naruto’s true victory over his dark side, and over the true inner demon he now symbolizes an enlightenened uber ninja. The sage similarities in his mind are probably what you said, the Foxes chakra may have some faint traces of the sage in him for once being apart of him. Who knows maybe Naruto and the sage will have some random talk to when/if Naruto fights the Jubii.

on my opinion, sage mode is not useless if chakra frm kyuubi is introduced…remember the pain vs naruto…when naruto 1st arrived at Nagato’s hide out…naruto got crossed pupil…it was the sage mode + kyuubi but the catch is the kyuubi was taking over naruto in sage mode. what happen on chap 499 when you balance chakra frm sage mode along with the kyuubi then you’ll achieve a new level…its the 1st level being sage of the 6 paths. its just like SSJ levels and naruto got upgraded to SSJ2( sage mode + kyuubi). now if you do sage mode + kyuubi + another tailed beast is like SSJ3 so on and so forth. bottom line being in 1st level of being a sage of the 6 paths means you have the license to own another tailed beast or being a jinjurikii again to another tailed beast.

another theory is madara knew that naruto will reach a point that naruto will be in level 1 sage of the 6 paths and madara will assumes that naruto retrieve the other tailed beasts. sasuke is just a pawn that madara will use to weaken naruto and when that happens that the time madara will take over naruto by being sucking naruto through his portal and absorb naruto just like madara absorbed one of danzo’s body guard that from the abumurame clan. when naruto is sucked in madara’s mind then its like a repeat of a tug of war between madara and naruto sage of the 6 paths form(all bijuus retreived).

Yes he worked hard to, but he at least had the ease of having the Byakugan, naruto had nothing he struggled with every little thing he did, he started from scratch. Even the people who werent exactly “born” special were stronger than him at the time.
It really just comes down to motivation, not lineage, although it helps if you learn to use it.
And where did you watch episode 165 at?
speaking of the byakugan its a shame that kishi did a terrible job of developing it. the byakugan has the same potential as the sharingan with different abilities but the most we saw out of it is that hinata can see a few kilometers away and neji can see 800m. i really wish he would spend some time developing neji/hinata just so we can see it in action

But im just tired of every hero of every series having some super crazy lineage (at first we thought Goku was just some random strong guy, then we find out he’s from the most powerful race in the universe…then we found out his father was the strongest saiyan back then with a power level of 10000, equal to King Vegeta…..and I could go on and on with other series). “doesnt make you special, what does?”: I think it’s that the “special ones” are made special when they are strong, e.g. their super strong traits come out because they’ve survived so much, Sakura and the rest of the Konoha 11 probably have some form of skill that is unique to them, but it’s so small and rarely used it’s not really considered a kekkai genkai or even noted. We just see so much of Naruto that we know HOW he is special.

Sasuke’s EMS might look like the Juubi’s eye, very similiar to a combo of the Rinnegan and the Sharingan Tamoe, the Rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke is a mirror of the rivalry between the sage’s 2 sons. As someone mentioned, maybe Madara want’s both of them to develop their potential and after they weaken each other, Madara just swoops in and absorbs them both, and at the same time while the war is ongoing he absorbs all the beasts since now he has the sage’s body and eyes enabling him to control the Juubi. Then armageddon happens and then their is a timeskip in the series.

Even if saskue can control the fox ( to whatever degree) he has to best naruto in his own mind, not likely anymore thanks to naruto’s new powers. And naruto already took away the foxes chakra, so it doesnt matter if saskue can control the fox, naruto has him locked up under a new seal and key, saskue cant break it unless naruto opens it, and saskue cannot control the chakra, nor can he suppress it since naruto is now in control of it, the only way to get naruto not using Kyuubi power is to suppress naruto himself. And he has to do that in a fight, which is obviously leaning towards naruto atm, untill kishi gives Saskue something again without earning it…
@John, I dont see how a combination of Itachi’s Mangekyou and Sasuke’s Mangaekyou will = Juubi’s eyes. But I cant wait to see just how crappy Sasuke’s EMS will look though lol

I have a question. What event triggered Naruto’s ability to use the sealing tech of the Sage of Six Paths? Did iy happen after Naruto released the Nine-tails? Did it happen after Kushina tied the Fox down with chains? Or was it aquired the instant Naruto was able to separate the Fox’s chakra from its mind, you as the perfect seal. I guess that getting the fox’s energy out of its body is the best answer, although the other events sure helped Naruto get the job done? What do you guys think?
Also if the Sage of Six Paths’s tech really creates the perfect seal forthe Kyubi, maybe it works on other tailed beasts, I wonder if Octo-dude sealed the Eight-Tails using the same technique? Maybe the Sage of Six Paths set up this tech as his own fail-safe jutsu to keep peopke from summoning the Jubi spirit again. I’d also like someone to comment on that idea.
Sasuke honestly has not worked as hard as naruto at getting his techniques and it pisses me off. I mean come on kishi at least have sasuke work at it… more than half of his techniques are not even his to begin with. At least naruto perfected his fathers technique an made it even better. Not mention he has a lot of variety in terms of the rasengan size and use. Sasuke spams amatersu and susanno to the point of unrealistic proportions and now with ems will do it probably at will and for hours on end. Watch the final battlebwill come down to susanno vs windshuriken cause sasuke will know nothing else

KB might have sealed the 8 tails for some time when it was still wild and there must have been a time that 8 tails came to be friends w/ KB so since they were already at terms then KB decided to release the seal.
i thing though to support my theory why madara cant just absorb the bijuus or why KB didnt became some how in line w/ the sage of the 6 paths is because that 1st is you would have to be of sage of nature of some sort… may be to become or to be in line in becoming a sage of 6 paths…one must learn to combine pure chakra(bijuus) with nature in a balanced way.

@kola to be honest I think He feels somewhat sorry for the kyuubi. To be fair the kyuubi has done what is normal an natural for him albeit its destruction but the kyuubi is like a rabiid dog. Saskuke might not have either, but what makes Naruto better at is the fact that he has had to live with the Fox for has whole life.

Does EMS( Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan)really give an Uchiha that much power? I tell what would be a good trainning arc for Saskuke: Madara teaching him how to use EMS to control one of the weaker bijuu. I ‘d imagine it to be something like Jiraiya teaching rasengan to Nauto. If Madara is allowed to perform this techinique first,then we would be able to understand how it works and fully understand the extent of his powers in his current state. Plus, this training would readers the first honest look at Saskuke’s discipline as a student since learning chidori. I don’t think sharingan is all that good of a bijuu suppressant. If some real trainning happens with Saskuke I might change my mind. What do you guys think?( I realize thar I might be missing something about the Sharingan.)
The sharingan really is a bijuu surpressor. Remember before sasuke even got the Ms he was able to quell the kyuubis power when team 10 met him. The sharingan is powerful but to stop a juubi remains to be seen. Remember we are taking madara word on ems so I think we have to wait and see what the true end power of the sharingan is.

The Sharingan can suppress biju, but only the Kyuubi so far we have seen, because as we all saw saskue got his ass handed to him by the 8tails and couldnt suppress it whatsoever. Wether this is because of Killerbee taking control of its chakra, or because it isnt the kyuubi reamains to be seen. I think its the first one to be honest, because the only difference between the Biju’s is their personalites and how much power they have. They are all beastly monsters with loads of power, and are all just pieces of the whole (supposedly if the jubii story is for reals) and there should be no reason that the sharingan couldnt control other bijuu’s if the jubii is real. Which is my basis for the theory that saskue cannot screw with the power naruto now posses’s at his whim.
And remember Saskue only suppressed the little bubble things in naruto’s mind, barely anything at all when they met at oro’s base. He couldnt do anything during the fight agaisnt naruto at the valley of the end about the chakra…though thats problably just beause he had just aquired the 3 tomos ( way to f**king lucky) and he didnt realize he could.
So since naruto now has this chakra under HIS will and HIS control, saskue’s sharingan quelling no longer applies, no short-cuts for saskue being able to deal with naruto he’s going to have to work at it and will fail because Naruto is the main character and pwns :P. That and since its Naruto’s mind he will be able to basicaly kick saskue the F**k out, lol. Kyuubi would own saskue anyway.
on naruto’s case the kyuubi wont be anymore controlled coz its already sealed. if sharingan is a bijuu supressor then sasuke should have used the sharingan to capture 8 tails but they ended up battling instead. that means that sasuke might have known that 8 tails is already owned by KB. about madara using EMS on a bijuu might not work anymore on naruto(if sucked up in his eye portal) so the battle will be in the mind. well this is just a theory based on how will madara handle naruto based on the jutsu’s that madara showed to us. there might be a diff twist to it.
i’d like to add that the reason why sasuke suppressed the kyuubi when entered naruto’s mind its becoz that the kyuubi is still not owned by naruto and at that time naruto and kyuubi are still playing tug of war controlling each other.
r we all reading the same manga? How does chakra=jutsu(i.e. Technique). People keep saying that Naruto will go 6tails, have chakra arms, etc, why? He jailed the fox and those r the kyuubi’s jutsu. All he got was more chakra without going nuts.
And why do peeps say he is the Sage? His seal is the same. therefore, I think sage mode and ‘that jutsu’ will still be vitally important. Or am I seriously missing something?

Because Bee does the same thing, he takes control of the chakra and he uses it to do everything like that. Thats why, and its not kyuubi’s jutsu’s its just kyuubis chakra’s surrounding naruto.
And he isnt the sage lol, he just resembles the Sage, and the seal isnt the same anymore, its different, or did you miss all those Wood things coming out of nowhere? Also people are saying Naruto is the sage due to the fact that Kyuubi said “This is the sage of six paths” which i think Naruto just reminds Kyuubi of the Sage which Kyuubi obviously fears.
“People keep saying that Naruto will go 6tails, have chakra arms”: Those techniques aren’t hard when you have infinite chakra, the bijju are just beasts, so those abilities are just their chakra reacting to their will, e.g. quite easy to preform. Also KB is seen as easily able to use most of them, and more.

Exactly what im saying, there is no reason that naruto wont be able to use those abilites anymore, the chakra is still the same madzikage, the only difference is that naruto can now control them whenever he wants and at any degree he feels neccesary. IE- chakra arms or burning chakra cloak, or anything else he wishes to do with the chakra now.
and as I already said, and Mart have said, Killerbee has taken his bijuu’s chakra and still retains the ability to do all his bijuu chakra moves, so obviously so can naruto. The seal still kept the fox at bay, it was just the chakra that leaked out, not the fox’s techniques, and really it wasnt techniques it was just pure chakra exploding or moving lol.
it makes sense that the perfect body that madara is looking for naruto in sage of the 6 paths mode along all bijuus…madara knows that naruto will collect all bijuus since he is the only one capable and the license to own bijuus and when the correct time comes…madara will take naruto just like did to android 17 and 18
Erm, guys, there is an apostrophe after the word “Paths”. So, the Kyubi meant to say “This (cage thechnique)… BELONGS TO the Sage of Six Paths…”, not that Naruto is him. Obviously, the Kyubi had seen it before and was surprised that someone else except from the Sage was able to use it so easily and restrain its power.

Im pretty sure the translators would have put that in there, since it is very important and wouldnt have left that out.
That and its improper grammer to say, The sage of sixth path, the ‘S is just correct usage…and even if it wasnt there is such a thing as Mis-interpretation, so unless you can translate Japanese…its nothing to freak out about. Although you could be right, idk.

Lol i feel bad for Bobs upcoming summary, we already almost have as many comments on here as we do on last chapters Summary, poor Bob lol.
My theory of Naruto splitting the juubi between them is getting more and more probable, especially after i hit the nail on the head with kishi trying to recreate the sage through naruto, but actually it’s naruto and sasuke, SENJU BODY = SAGE’S YOUNGEST SON’S BODY, AND UCHIHA EYES = SAGE’S OLDEST SON’S EYES, and if you add those two together you get, JUUBI control, and that’s when the greatest mystery villan of all time AKA MADARA AKA TOBI AKA MISTER 9 MILLION YEARS OLD, swoops in and try to take the body of naruto and the eyes of Sasuke so he can unseal the juubi from the moon, but alas this plan is flawed because of the partnership that Naruto and Sasuke form to defeat Madara, but I do believe the juubi will be awakened some way other than Madara’s original plan because Madara always has several plans, plus we really have to see how strong the juubi really is anyway. Another thing i wanted to mention is I believe that the 9tails is the dominant personality of the juubi, and all the other bijuus powers are channeled through him.
I’m basing this off two things, the picture of the juubi, and how the juubi immediately recognizes the techinique Naruto gained that the sage had. For someone who we’ve never seen fight anyone, this sage guy sure is infamous, I might need to change my sign in name to the “Sage The Infamous”, 🙂
“My theory”: Actually it was MY theory… I wrote a post about a few months ago when Madara first mentioned Kenzentai. It’s under a post of that name.
After re-reading the manga a number of times i think i have come to the conclusion that naruto doesnt have the Sage of six paths body but rather just used the same seal as the sage of six paths? im not to sure however i would definately like clarification.
I also dont know if naruto will be similar to KB because i thin KB still chills with his bijuu whereas naruto has taken all the good chakra and locked up the kyuubi:?

Guys I have a theory.I think:
The Sage of Six Paths had two sons.One was a Senjuu and the other one could’ve been an Uchiha.So that explains it
Senjuu has the “body” whilst Uchiha has the eyes

Back when Naruto was in the Land of Iron and Tobi attacked him, Tobi told the story about the Sage Six Paths and two brothers. It doesn’t explicitly say that the brothers were the Sage’s sons, but they inherited his power, split in half (eyes to the older, body to the younger).
Tobi claims that the Uchiha are the descendants of the older brother and that the Senju are the descendants of the younger one. The younger was chosen as the new leader when the Sage Six Paths died, the older one resented it, and so those clans have been fighting ever since. Tobi states that this is why he is forcing Naruto to fight Sasuke… which makes many of us believe that Naruto must be a Senju…. although I don’t believe everything Tobi says.

Here it does say they were brothers though. Therefore, I would argue they aren’t the sage’s sons… why not say that? All we know is that they were his students as ninjas.
In fact, the way the first link I posted implies that they aren’t, that they were the Sage’s students.

@ripcord, onemanga uses Sleepyfans’ translation, and they have the least trustworthy translations of them all. Other translators say they are the Sage’s sons. Though this wouldnt be the first time Sleepyfans was wrong. Even Naruto wiki still lists them as the Sage’s sons

Yah, they have gotten pretty bad in the last year or so. Do you have an alternate translation for that chapter though? Mangastream doesn’t post chapters that far back.
Also, it’s really that I just hate wikis… they make people “soft” in terms of information gathering. I don’t get why people, if they really do love Naruto, don’t dig through the manga themselves to find the info they want to find.
