Well folks, the past couple of weeks were no coincidence after all; Masishi Kishimoto has stepped up his game and there is no sign that he will be relenting. This of course is fantastic news for all the Naruto fans out there. What a treat. This begs the question however, how much longer can he keep this epicness up? For a while longer I hope!
The Epicness Begins!
The chapter commences from where it left off last week, with the two behemoths going all out against each other. I do not know what has gotten to Kishi but man am I loving it. I always feared that this battle would not live up to all the hype it’s been given, but just a chapter into it and the entire Naruto nation can agree that this is by far the most epic fight we have ever witnessed. Forget Rock Lee vs Gaara, Jiraiya vs Pain, Naruto vs Pain, and all other awesomeness we have witness thus far; FOLKS, this fight is beyond all other fights just as these two monsters are beyond all others that identify as shinobi. My only wish is that Kishi does not cut it short. I will take 10 chapters of this, heck I wouldn’t even be mad if Kishi ends everything with this fight. I am totally with Cesc on this, 10 chapters of the two top Ninja in Naruto going at it to the very end is exciting and like Cesc said kishi is not running short on epic ideas. But what I am noticing is that he is doing the ending than back to the beginning then back to the ending plot. Like how he showed us a chapter of the battle than at the end of the chapter he goes all the way back to when Madara and Hashirama were kids, than he will slowly show how each of them grew in different environments and around different people. Hence the things that they grew up around made them who they are. Making Hashirama a humble guy with unimaginable power, and on the other hand you have Madara who became a merciless monster that only listens to himself. So I would not be surprised if the next chapter will play out like that, sort of the difference between Naruto and Sasuke but it is between Hashirama and Madara.
He is truly the god of the Uchiha. He freaking wrapped the (full powered) biju in Susano’o! I mean, how much more epic can you get. There seems to be a bit of a role reversal here when you compare the two to Naruto and Sasuke in their earlier days. As the flashback within the flashback showed, Madara has been the one always chasing after Hashirama. In Naruto and Sasuke’s case, the former was always the one working hard to catch up in strength with the latter. Now it is the Uchiha that is the underdog trying to surpass his rival. Judging from his words during the fight and their first encounter, Madara has been chasing after Hashirama and trying to defeat him, a task he has failed at countless times. He does not like the way Hashirama somewhat belittles him, and always seems to have something one step above whatever he (Madara) throws out, i.e. Madara gets epic 9tails susano’o and Hashi gets giant Buddha for 1000 b*tch slaps. You can see his anger (not fear) when Hashi makes his summon, Madara is more angry that Hashi one-ups him more than he is concerned that he is about to get the beating of his life. I see a lot of similarities between their relationship and that shared by Goku and Vageta, except of course Madara does not end up being an antihero. Nevertheless, Madara is a great character that deserves huge praise. Against anyone else, he would be considered the best. I do feel sorry for him, he has worked so hard to surpass Hashi, but in the end he has to resort to stealing from his rival and hiding out, waiting till his rival dies. Those poor Kages, now I see why they were no match for Madara, he truly is levels above his kind.
Well I guess the doubters can all now hush up? If you were one of the many that doubted Hashirama’s worthiness of the title God of Shinobi then here you go, Kishi has answered your questions. There should be no doubt that this man is on another level, even to Madara. Someone said they believe the fourth can defeat him, I hope you are reading this chapter then and don’t remain blinded by bias. It seems Hashirama’s abilities are endless, the greatest defense and healing jutsu (shields Oro used to block Naruto’s bomb and the rapid healing tech Tsunade uses) are both originally his. He also seems to possess the ultimate Sage Mode, though I am not entirely sure if that is in fact a sage mode. It could just be same sealing tech Tsunade uses now. I think it is sage mode since the translation on Mangastream reads “Hermit law . . .” Madara is the best shinobi from this world, but Hashirama, well he is from another planet. In my opinion (Jdogg) I think that the ‘Hermit law’ is the true form of senjutsu, if you think back all the way to Jiraiya who is the only other person to figure out senjutsu from what we know, but do to his lack of control he get the traits of a frog. But in the case of Naruto he only has the frog eyes, but no other frog trait, because he has better control over senjutsu. But Hashirama shows that he can instantly acquire senjutsu or something of that sort. Leaving me to believe that it is the original senjutsu but as time progressed, Frogs, Snakes and other animals learned to control senjutsu and develop their own senjutsu variation.
Look at the size of that thing! The amount of chakra required to summon that is other worldly, and that is exactly what the first is. How Naruto and Sasuke are to better this battle is beyond me. As many of you mentioned already, Kuruma is only at half strength while both Naruto and Sasuke’s arsenal pale in comparison to Hashirama and Madara. They will both need to receive massive power boosts if they are to have any of chance of even matching this fight. Maybe Kishi should’ve saved this battle for finals scenes of Naruto. Like I said earlier, I would not be too upset if Kishi does decide to end things with this fight haha. One last thing here:
