Hey guys, the week of waiting is over and we’re finally onto chapter 496 where Naruto begins his showdown with the big bad fox. I breathed a sigh of relief this chapter because things are finally picking up after what I perceived as the mishandling of the evil Naruto face-off and Motoi’s somewhat lame back story. I also liked that Kishi has also been kicking it up a notch with the funnies, even in these serious situations. This week’s gag with the headhless Naruto bit really had me chuckling, I hope to see Yamato get punked more in the future, lol.

If you thought Killer Bee’s language was bad last chapter, the translator (of Mangastream) really went all out in this chapter. Not that I’m complaining, I really like this Samuel L Jackson take on KB’s personality; but at the same time, I got to wonder how much tamer the original Japanese version is. Naruto’s gag this week was pretty hilarious. It really brought back memories of the younger Naruto of the past and reminds us that even though he has matured a lot since then, some of his prankster nature will always be here to stay. Some might argue that having these funny episodes during such an important time in Naruto’s training takes away from the seriousness of the situation, but I say it only proves how brave and determined Naruto is because it takes courage to still smile and laugh while staring death straight in the eye. Oh, and for the curious, those headless statues I think are based off of similar Buddha statues found in temples at places like Sri Lanka. They’re headless because looters and the like hacked them off to sell on the black market since it’s too heavy to steal the entire statue.
It seems like a lot of popular shonen manga these days have featured something similar to DBZ’s hyperbolic time chamber, and Naruto is no exception. The temple behind the waterfall looks very ancient, and according to KB, it seems to have been constructed specifically to training Jinchuuriki. It’s essentially a huge Bijuu vault that allows a host to confront the tailed beast but has the safety feature of sealing the beast inside the temple if the host fails to control the beast. I would be really impressed if it turned out Kumogakure built the temple specifically to tame tailed beasts after when the First Hokage sealed and distributed the Bijuu amongst the major villages. But the ancient construction and aged look of the whole place makes me think that the temple existed before that period. To think that Kumogakure to have such a facility at its disposal for so long really puts into perspective how much of an advantage they had over the other villages over the years. Think about it, they essentially had the ability to make as many attempts to create Jinchuuriki as they can in relative safety, so long as they can recapture the Bijuu whenever it overpowered its current host. In comparison, other villages like Konoha and Suna had to rely on more time-consuming, primitive and dangerous methods like sealing their Bijuu into newborns or a developing fetus in order to have any success at containing the tailed beast in a host. Kumo on the other hand, can hand pick and train their host candidate each time and easily replace them if they fail. It makes me wonder why Konoha, which was founded by the man who could tame the Bijuu, did not create a similar if not better facility for themselves.
Naruto’s battle for dominance against the Kyuubi was quite a sight to see, but I was expecting a little more build up before we got to this point. As I see it, this is one of the more important battles in Naruto’s life and something us readers have been anxious to see for a long time. That said, I was expecting Kishi to really to built up the tension and maybe throw down a really dramatic cliffhanger before we got to the meat of the battle. Speaking of meat, kisuzachi mentioned in the comments that Kyuubi looks like he put on a little weight in this chapter, and I tend to agree. I guess being stuck in a cage inside a boy who eats greasy ramen all the time would make anyone put on the pounds, even a Bijuu, but I can’t help but think it makes the Nine-Tails a lot less intimating than we’ve seen him in the past. It also has to do with the way Kishi depicted Kyuubi in this chapter — we’re used to seeing close-ups of Kyuubi’s eyes and snarling teeth, but seeing his whole body drawn like this makes him more like a big, furry, grouchy and overweight fox. I have every confidence that Naruto will succeed in taming the Kyuubi, or at least coming to some kind of compromise, especially with KB literally helping him out along the way. But after all the fighting is done and Kyuubi becomes an ally, Naruto really needs to put that fox on a diet.

I actually agree with Kishi building up to Naruto facing off with the Kyuubi but I guess he only put the specifics in the Manga. When you actually watch the anime more things happen than on the manga! Great post!
I do think you guys are right, the Kyuubi is way less intimidating than the other times we have seen him! My favorite was at the beginning of Shippuuden and the very beginning of Naruto!
Im dont really see how the kyubi got fatter. i mean thats just most likly how it looks. as far as things go, we’ve never really seen a real depiction of the kyubi (save for the very first episode). other times they were representations and hypothetical views on how the kyubi looked, and they were all more menacing than the next. this chapter, we now have (more or less) a clear depiction of kyubi and this is what he really looks like. Its not that he’s more or less menacing than he always was; before it was always a dark and mysterious thing, covered by shadow, supreme darkness, etc. But now the time has come to face that darkness and as shown in naruto’s inner world, when one turns on the light things are really that scary.
the artwork around the end of this chapter was sloppy in general in my opinion.
As far as the chapter goes it was really cool, but it made me realise that the kyuubi control thing isn’t as important as previously thought. I think Kishi will rush through it and get onto more important things like training and the battle against Kisame.
The only twist I could see is if Kishi decides to make Kisame interrupt the training and Naruto has to ONCE AGAIN find his own way to tame the kyuubi before using it to make fish kebabs
lol maybe Kyubi did get fatter…he was sleek and agiule when he was shown at the start of the series…mabe it wass all because of the ramen..Kishimoto pls dnt make Hachibi look cooler than Kyubi…and maybe that temple was built by descendants or followers of the Sage of Six Paths predating the foundation of the 5 villages & the Land of Lightning got lucky the island was part of there boundary…Konoha was still stronger than Kumo back then…the previous Jinchurikis were failures & each time they failed Kumo was destroyed several times…Konoha was only destroyed
…when Orochimaru & Pain attacked it…after Pain’s attack however I think Kumo is stronger..
I think reason Kishimoto is rushing through the last few chapters is to set up something really epic for the 500th chapter. I think maybe even the likes of which the chapter has not seen yet.
*Correction*
The likes of which the manga has not yet seen.
KYUBI POWER UP! woosh!
Well, Bob, if you want to know what is the japanese version of these expletives, according to spoilers that had been out in Wednesday morning, «Yamato is surprised.
He also says bees ‘bakayaro, konoyaro! (bitches n fuckers!)’»
I copy-pasted it: I know that this line is a bit syntactically incorrect, so we can’t know if it was KB or Yamato who said this, but we know at least that THESE words were used in this chapter. (We have also seen KB in NS episode 142 and 143 to use these words, that were translated now and then as “idiot / fool / dumbass / phony).
i think as a whole, this whole arc has been kind of lacking in malice in general. While that’s fine, and I like seeing Naruto’s pranks again, his hatred side and the kyuubi haven’t come across very strong and it kind of feels a bit half assed to me. Not much else to say really. We all knew the plot of this arc before it started…so someone give me a plot twist or some badass sketches because I am booored!
there was a time….
http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/228/16-17/
@uchiha_gaiden
There was a time indeed…!
http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/228/16-17/ Now that’s the Kyubi we know and loathe! Not this fat blob lol. Maybe he’ll be cooler in the anime when they add the darker colors, ominous music and super evil voice, because right now he’s just a few levels above Sakura on the coolness charts.
This whole Arc has been….boring. Hate to say it, but Bleach and One Piece are kicking Naruto’s ass right now. The only thing mildly interesting this arc is Bee’s past….that’s it. Maybe if Kisame shows his cool badass self again things’ll pick up.
So before I go Imma bust a rhyme Dattebayo. Kishi getting lazy, making this manga hazy , Kyubi’s suppose to be crazy and not looking like a fat baby. Yamato’s so square, he lacks pizazz that certain air, Bee’s got the entertaining flare and Suckura….thank God she disappeared. Now lets all be thankful rapping isnt my chosen profession or your ears would be under my rhymes’ oppression. Word.
@kizu
nice
I don’t think it’s that he’s fat part of it is kyuubi has a well developed and human upper body. The rest is that he is sitting up with a curved back and his legs are spread apart. Those who draw will understand what I mean because it wasn’t shaded it’s hard to get the proper perspective.
@ eagles
those who have ever had a cat would understand as well. anyone who has ever seen a cat sit in a similar nature would have thought Fat until the cat moves. part of it is just the position.
also i feel some notice should be put to the faact that naruto and Bee have pulled the same joke. shows that they may be similar in prankster nature. and maybe bee has just matured a bit more.
@eagles & Bringer
yea at first i thought the scale was off then i realized the perspective is almost a top view of the kyuubi because naruto is above him.
as a side…i realized the kyuubi is the only tailed beast that doesn’t have a unique form. He’s just a plain old fox whereas all the other beasts are some weird hybrids or uniquely different forms like shukaku for example. sorry kyuubi, you were cursed with the only direct mythological form buddy. No wonder he’s angry…he’s overweight, lonely, and gets no artist representation!
“he’s overweight, lonely, and gets no artist representation!” Lmao! hahahaha
Atleast I’m not the only One who liked the chap this week I’m actually really enjoying this arc
@eaglesfan, yeah, this arc may have been off to a slow start but I think it’s going to pick up real soon – i really want to see some actual fighting between Kyuubi and Naruto, not just a chakra tug-o-war.
“The rest is that he is sitting up with a curved back and his legs are spread apart. Those who draw will understand what I mean because it wasn’t shaded it’s hard to get the proper perspective.”
Yeah, it was definitely a bad perspective but Kishi didn’t have to pick those perspectives to draw the Kyuubi. There’s a lot of examples from the past that demonstrate that he knows how to pick out the ideal angles to make the fox look really badass. I have to agree with others who say Kishi got lazy with the art this chapter, you can even see it in how he drew Kyuubi’s faces (I found this one particularly bad : http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/496/14-15/). It’s kind of disappointing ’cause I think this is a pretty important battle in Naruto’s life. Here’s hoping things pick up.
@wo ai ni
thanks for pointing that out. Still, I don’t think Shonen Jump would publish anything that is the Japanese equivalent of ‘fuck’ in their magazine unless they want to get swamped by calls from angry parents the next day. Mangastream is just a bit more liberal with translations; compare that with Sleepyfans version on Onemanga (http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/496) which is more PG-13
@bob
yea he definitely got lazy with the art I was just saying I don’t think he got fat. If he did kyuubi could use the exercise this “fight” is gonna bring
wawawawawawawawawa
Not much discussion this week.
@naru: there is plenty of discussion noone wants to start it tho… See the Mangahelpers review of this chapter for a deeper insight and bring it here….
question: do people think kyuubi will battle Naruto or just tug-o-war. Lets make predictions
I think hat the chakra is supposed to be symbolic… like a peaceful solution to a life threatening conflict or something but I would really like to see naruto enter sage mode and come to a draw with the kyuubi, earn his respect, THEN finish with the tug of war after naruto destroys the kyuubi’s ego. As for hachibi being easily defeated by kyuubi, isn’t kyuubi atleast as powerful as all 8 of the other beasts combined? Bee shouldn’t be surprised because I think the result would be just the same outside of naruto’s soul.
@Eaglesfan10
I don’t have any links to back this up, but I remember hearing that the Kyuubi and Hachibi were equally matched in power, it’s just that the Kyuubi had limitless chakra, and so it won out because of that. I’m not sure if this comes from the Japanese mythology, in which case it might not apply to Naruto.
As to KB’s statement that his powers don’t work so well in Naruto… I’m going to trust that he knows what his powers feel like since he is in complete control of the Hachibi.
@Madzi, a battle of words while the tug-o-war is going on
@ripcord
I don’t remember hearing that but I’ll take you word for it but I think I favor kyuubi as it can level mountains with a swing of one tail. As for kb I agree that he knows the extent of his full power I just meant I doubt his chakra would be strong enough to defeat kyuubi either inside naruto or outside of him.
Every time I see the words “tug o’ war” I think of something much, much different than what we’re talking about. I mean, a fox and a human? -.-
Anyway, I think it’ll be fox, than naruto, then fox, then naruto…
Is it me or is this site getting boring? I miss when everyone was arguing over who was really Madara and just everything, cmon ppl spice things back up a little
Yeah I’m still waiting for the Create that Character thing to be posted up. Chapters like these don’t lead to entertaining conversations. Chapters like these just depicts the obvious, it doesn’t spark imagination, well atleast to me it doesn’t.
well, it would be sad after almost 500 chapters of waiting for this moment, that kishi will get this over with in a matter of several chapters. i thought this was the moment of truth for naruto, and actually the entire Manga itself.
i truly believe that manga artist should work more on the middle to end part of the series the most, because those are what will grap fans’ attention. well, i hope it’s still too early to presume any of this.
as for what’s going on now. since naruto’s actually fighting the kyuubi, i think kyuubi will start playing mind games by showing naruto flash-backs of his dark past since kyuubi needs naruto’s bad side to keep his own evil form to manifest in the future. otherwise, the kyuubi will completely lose to naruto and change to the better (same with hatchibi).
but just like all other manga series, this is a battle of resolve, not strength or techniques. and since naruto’s resolve is above his normal average, things should go fine, UNLESS kishi decides to surprise us with naruto failing but with KB managing to save him from being devoured. that would give way for more juice in the series, then after lots of events, naruto will have yet another showdown with the tailed fox.
i know naruto is the series’ hero, but if we go back to past events, naruto (just like ichigo in bleach) lacks what most other shinobi have; which is ninjutsu. i wouldn’t call rasengan a ninjutsu since it’s mostly a “physical” attack with chakra. naruto has trained for weeks using his clones to control the wind element, so why the hell isn’t anyone training him in controlling his own chakra to a better extent? other than combining rasengan with wind chakra (Which is considered not only harder, but on a completely different level) the only ninjutsu technique that naruto knows is shadow clones, which he learned by only reading a scroll when he was really young… it’s evident that the guy has lots of talent for learning even more. everyone who saw him said that naruto has a tremendous amount of chakra (monstrous), and it had nothing to do with the kyuubi.
i thought before knowing how to control the kyuubi, naruto should learn some of his father’s legacies at the least, “flash step” being one of them. kakashi, as an example, have been ignoring teaching naruto lots of things he himself was taught by the 4th. i’m sure if naruto managed to succeed in sage mode more than any of his predecessors (which is VERY hard, and on a COMPLETELY different level), then he would succeed easily in “other” methods. he’s still a dope when it comes to techniques other than “physical”.
my 2 Colombian pennies (if that’s what their currency is)….
@lilmoe, the thing that irks me most is that Jiraiya basically wasted Naruto’s 2 and half years. Orochimaru made Sasugay immune to most poisons, taught him forbidden techniques, gave him power and made his taijutsu, ninjutsu and genjutsu exceptional, while all Jiraiya did was teach Naruto a bigger Rasengan. Jiraiya has loads of Toad-related ninjutsu, he could have taught Naruto a few of them, or even just 1. *sigh.
I’m wondering what sort of special techniques Naruto will get from his Bijju buddy, I think chakra hands, cannon and Lariat are all pretty much standards, but I think he needs something like ink or sand that is unique. Knowing Kishi it will probably be something like Rasengan-Kyubbi Cannon or Multi-Sexy no jutsu…
I think if the Kyubbi presents Naruto with flashbacks, it will be of either Madara or Minato, and he will show Minato dying or something, but then this will only inspire Naruto who will then try to learn FTG. (at least that is my hope).
@kisu: I agree I have thought the same thing. 2.5years and he learned nothing. I mean even sakura became a proficient medical ninja. What’s really annoying is that while he might odds learned ‘that jutsu’ compared to team 7 his time was wasted. I am actually enjoying the pass of this manga-i dig Kishi’s lets get to the point authoring
@Mart, according to Kishi the Kyubi knows all the secrets of the Uchiha clan, but he isnt willing to share that information (interview of 2008) So I think it’ll mostly be the Kyubi telling Naruto about the Uchihas. As for techniques, Lariat is a wrestling move, which fits Bee and Raikage’s figure more than it does Naruto. What I hope the Kyubi teaches Naruto is the Menacing Ball
I realized something almost completely unrelated to this chapter… Jiraiya isn’t all that skilled at seals… Before it was some huge accomplishment of Sannin level to use Five Element Unseal, but really all you need is to sign a piece of paper, swallow Geotora and poof, someone with absolutely no training can do it… (as seen by the fourth picture down….) Just another thing to argue with John about I guess.
@Minatofan
it’s not just you, I’ve been having a hard time just coming up with stuff to write about recently. This new arc is just too… predictable I’m afraid. Sad really cuz I was really looking forward to it. Hate to say this, lol, but the last Sasuke arc has the current Naruto one beat in terms of entertainment value. Kishi just isn;t bringing out the same mystery and interest with Kyuubi and KB as he did with Madara, Kabuto, etc.
@kisu
I think what Kishi wanted Naruto to get out of those 2.5 years was to fully understand Jiraiya’s philosophy in order to fulfill his legacy: to bring true peace to the world. To master a new way of thinking and understanding takes much longer than to master a new technique, so even though we didn’t see any physical proof of improvement in Naruto, mentally Naruto had actually advanced quite a bit. Otherwise naruto probably wouldn’t have been able to get through to Pein or reacted the way he did when he met sasuke for the 2nd time.
@walmart1
You’re wrong. Jiraya was good at seals, because he could create them. Naruto is not creating a seal here, he is using an already created seal.
The best example of Jiraiya creating a seal is the highest rank fire seal that was able to contain Amaterasu.
@bob, it’s true that jiraya has taught naruto quite a bit about his philosophical views. but jiraya isn’t the only one to blaim.
i believe kakashi, for an example, is more obliged to give much more time to naruto and training him. well we appreciate that he taught him how to manipulate his wind chakra, but don’t u guys think it was only taught half way? no wind element techniques? isn’t rasengan the only thing that benefited from that?
kakashi was naruto’s father’s student. and i believe like how shikamaru thinks it’s his obligation to teach his teacher’s son, kakashi should feel the same…
all thorough this manga, Naruto has been given a disservice. @bob: philosophy my foot, its nonsense he wasted 2.5years of his life. His progress in his battles and what yami Naruto said just go to show that even jiraiya didn’t know his student after all that time. Guess that’s what happens when you spend your life chasing skirt and writing perverted books
Naruto could have used an upgrade to his moves list, but Kishi clearly wanted to keep Naruto the underdog even 2.5 years later to make for a better story to tell. But yeah, having Naruto learn just one somewhat ‘new’ move after all that time is a little cheesy considering how much Naruto’s friends who didn’t leave the village had advanced ;P Still, I’d like to think that the face-off with Pein would have ended very badly if Naruto didn’t take Jiraiya’s teachings to heart during those years. Also, Jiraiya spent a lot of their time attempting to slowly unlock the seal to give Naruto access to Kyuubi’s power – that’s not something that could be done in a few month. Jiraiya also had to hide Naruto’s presence from Akatsuki, so they couldn’t stay in one spot to train for too long or do any flashy training that would draw attention.
@bob: at the very least he could have learned how to access a wider variety of toads and use them in battle. I am failing to see how teaching a ninja with massive chakra how to access more chakra helps in the greater scheme of things… What more shadow clones?
I can’t argue what new powers Naruto should have had after those years, that was up to the Mr.kishimoto to decide; I wasn’t all that satisfied either, but that’s how things go.
Naruto did have massive charka (I’ll assume you were referring to Kyuubi’s), but access wasn’t that easy in part 1. Jiraiya was trying to teach Naruto how to access Kyuubi’s chakra in a more controlled fashion. Kyuubi’s power was like a water tap but Naruto could only open it to 100% open or not at all. But more importantly, I think Jiraiya had realized that Naruto needed to get rid of any evil inside himself in order to have any hope of not losing himself to the fox in the future. He didn’t have access to KB’s waterfall, so the best he could do is impart his teachings about peace and forgiveness to Naruto. This certainly isn’t as exciting as Naruto returning from training with, say, Hollow powers, but it was important from a story point of view. That said, Kishi should have taken account that this is a Shonen manga and given the fans more of what they wanted with Naruto’s return. I’m not arguing that what Kishi did with Naruto in those 2.5 years made good reading, just that Jiraiya’s training was not a waste a time.
@Madz
the chakra itself is the upgrade, not just having more chakra. Giving him control over kyuubi allows for naruto to protect himself from the akatsuki and possibly information dealing with the truth behind the uchiha clans hax. It would have been nice of jiraya to have him about his parents, the secrets of the shadow clone, but we do know that he knows “that” jutsu so maybe that took the better part of 2.5 years. Maybe they were like “shit we’ve only worked on a top secret jutsu that we can’t use until the time is right… how bout we half ass making a new jutsu and just add more chakra to the rasengan and give it a fancy name”
“Jiraya was good at seals, because he could create them”: I fail to see proof that Jiraiya created the five element seal, in fact Oro. stated that Hiruzen could know it so it’s more likely that he didn’t. The same goes for the four tail sealing scroll. I just find it interesting that anyone can pretty much instantly learn sealing via Geotora which gives me a lot of hope for Naruto learning FTG.
@Eaglesfan, Kishi has done such a poor job with the Biju that I dont think the Kyubi even matters anymore. I mean at the start we thought that no human could face a Biju…..then a 13 year old pushed back the Shukaku. We still tohught Biju’s were unbeatable because Naruto didnt defeat Shukaku, he just in a sense resealed it. Then we meet freaking Akatsuki! These guys take out Biju and make a sport of it (see Hidan and Kakuzu vs Niibi and Deidara and Tobi vs Sanbi). But we still thought they were powerful. Then we meet PAIN! The guy was HOLDING BACK when he fought the Kyubi lol. Then the final straw was when the HACHIBI said “I’m out of chakra” in the fight with Kisame. A CHAKRA MONSTER RUNNING OUT OF CHAKRA?! What the hell Kishi?! So I’ve lost all faith in the Biju actually. I’d advise Naruto to go out and learn some cool wind techs and dont waste too much time on this.
@Bob, nah Madzi meant that NARUTO has a huge reserve of chakra not accounting for the Kyubi. Just remember his fight with Gaara when he made 2000 Shadow Clones from his OWN chakra
Anyone think Naruto will have to train how to use the Kyubi chakra all over again?
@Eaglesfan, awesome joke at the end though rofl
You know kisu I COMPLETELY agree with every thing you said lol. In the beginning these tailed beasts were believed to be a pure destructive force with close to unlimited power. Now We see that ninjas can not only subdue these beasts but if they wanted to they can Destroy each and every one of them. Also with regard to kakashi I love him he an itachi are my two favorite characters but kakashi pissed me off by helping sasuke an not naruto. This wad the fourths heir and he neglected naruto like he was a peasant. All after his sensei helped kakashi become a great ninja.
Also about the habachi losing chakra…. what confuses me is the fact the samehada was able to absorb that much chakra an not be overloaded. This is pure high level chakra and anyone who knows biology or chemistry knows that everything has a finite limit but samehada does not appear to have one. Even if it converts the chakra into stam for kisame there still has to be a limit
“anyone who knows biology or chemistry”: Given that ninja can manipulat elements… I don’t think that those things apply much. I’m sure Samehada has a limit, but it’s more like HGR’s limit, it’s more time based than quantity, He wasn’t able to absorb all of the Lariat used on Kisame, but he was able to take most of the Hachibi’s chakra during the fight.
Well the lariat is a physical attack really. Not to mention samehada had gone to KB so it was not on kisames side an he got punted so samehada wasn’t draining KB and his chakra. Also if its time based that means that abilities such as samehadas absorbion is a little op even by naruto standards. Yea its fake but kishi has to do a better job of consistency and staying within one spectrum.
You are thinking of the Double Lariat used by Killer Bee and his brother on Zetsu, what I was refering to was this: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/471/11/
It clearly talks about Samehada’s limits being roughly six tails out of the seven tailed chakra cloak. http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/471/04/
@ kizu
dont forget most of the fact that they beat the biju is out smarting the bijuu so who knows. Maybe the kyuubi was the only one that was really ever super powerful though as it looks the most like the jubi and has the highest amount of chakra. kishi also robbed us of seeing how they were defeated. im really hoping i was right in that the kyuubi is more powerful than the other 8 combined because then atleast it would be worth it for naruto to master it. i think the hachibi is the lamest of the biju, i think he’s ugly for one and just isnt all that special overall. hopefully next chapter and we get to see why the kyuubi IS a big deal still.
o and if he needs to train to use kyuubi chakra i’ll be pissed, every other host can just transform to full right away.
Anyone think the manga ends at around chap 600?
@toke, I don’t think Kakashi was thinking to himself “I like Sasuke waaaaay more than Naruto, he’s a loser.”, I just think he saw the evil in Sasuke manifesting itself faster than in Naruto. He probably figured starting with Sasuke was more important since he’d have a bigger time frame to mold a kinder Naruto. Sasuke’s window was closing in my opinion.
But if its such a risk to teach sasuke y did he teach sasuke the chidori than? If there was a darkness growing kakashi should have dealt with That anfnot been like o I need to baby sasuke ass cause he might betray us so ill teach him one of my best techniques…. . That I even more stupid if that’s what kakashi thought. Not to mention kakashi never seemed that interested in naruto from the start. Sasuke grabbed his attention cause he was a genious and naruto was viewed as a clown. Kakashi just comes across as being biased. Not to mention the fact naruto had it pretty bad himself. If it came between an angry bitter naruto who could go demon fox at any moment or a emo little uchiha who should he have been training more?
@Bob i wasnt necessarily talking about the actual manga being boring right now, i was just meaning no one on here was debating about anything and that was kinda getting boring. Long as the story keeps progessing thats all that matters to me
Im not a emo fan but hear me out on this, sasuke was in no means evil as a child, and even as a teen he just turned into an avenger from the slaugher of his entire claned. He then learns that his very on village was the reason his clan was slaughtered and after hating his brother his whole life just to find out his brother really did love him cmon, id prolly be worse than sasuke if all that happend to me. Personally I wanna see him and naruto battle, and have naruto come out on top. but i do want him sasuke to eventually come back to the good side and help fight against tobi-madara who ever that is
@Minatofan, if i was Sasugay (heaven forbid), I would NOT ally myself with the guy my big brother hated so much and I would NOT try to get revenge. Revenge is a waste of time, effort and money. A ninja of Sasugay’s skills could be a very effective mercenary. These guys need to take a course from Kakuzu

Hey, people! It’s been a while, I know. Laptop died, and all kinds of hell broke loose. Then works internet was bugging for a while. Long story short, I was unable to use the internet pretty much anywhere I went. Didn’t have the time too. Great to be back tho.
Now as far as the latest chapter. AWESOME!! Can’t wait for Naruto to kick some Kyubi ass. Hopefully it doesn’t take that long.
And yes Sasuke’s gay. I still hate his bitch ass. Neji is still the shit. lol.
Oh, and for any new people out there: I don’t feel like explaining who I am, so I’ll let the vets tell.
again, great to be back. Off to write some stories now,
@kisu: cheers for the spoiler link it looks like we will have a lot of new theories to discuss this chapter.
@others: kakashi saw himself in sasuke and therefore thought he could ‘save’ him from himself. That’s what makes me hope that sasuke uses his EMS to kill kakashi in battle. That’ll teach him to bet on a losing horse Haha!
@madzikage
Uhh… are you nuts? I think that would be one of the worst deaths in the whole manga! Kakashi deserves way better than that.
New one’s out.
497 is epic
497 is out on mangastream…. naruto meets his mum
