From what Danzo was saying about fixing up his body in the last chapter, I guess the surprising revelation about him having a Sharingan in the last page of chapter 455 is not a big surprise. However, I still wish Kishi could have done something else with Danzo’s big secret. It’s a good plot twist, I guess, but the whole Sharingan thing has been done to death.
Remember when Sasuke was first introduced and everyone was talking about him being the elite rookie ninja and the LAST of the Uchiha clan who possessed the all-mighty Sharingan. Back then, the Sharingan was awesome because it was so rare and cool looking. But wait, then we find out Sasuke wasn’t the last Uchiha because his brother was still out there, Mr. Itachi Uchiha. Okay, so two people had the Sharingan, but it’s still awesome because Itachi and Sasuke are from the Uchiha bloodline… but that’s until Kakashi reveals his Sharingan. Now we find out that you don’t have to be an Uchiha to have a Sharingan, oh great. Then Madara shows up with his own Sharingan, making that LAST Uchiha crap a complete load of bull. And now we come to Danzo, and surprise surprise, he’s got an Sharingan too under that right eye of his. The Sharingan must be the strongest Kekkei Genkai out there not because it has strong abilities, but because it just refuses to die out. Everybody seems to want one of those eyes.
I think we can rule out the Madara is Danzo theory after this chapter. One, because Danzo’s Sharingan seems to have something wrong with it as it looks like it’s under strain, whereas Madara’s Sharingan is more natural. And two, Danzo clearly says that it’s been a while since he’s been in battle, whereas Madara has seen a lot of fighting over the last few volumes either as Tobi or Madara. Now, unless Danzo is somehow ANOTHER living member of the Uchiha clan, I think it’s safe to say he received his Sharingan the same way Kakashi did, ie. Surgically implanted. Knowing Danzo, the donor of his Sharingan was probably none too willing or dead. After the murder of the entire Uchiha clan, I’m pretty sure he had a lot of eyes to choose from, so I’m sure he picked the strongest for himself, maybe Shisui (the partner whom Itachi supposedly killed) or even Sasuke’s father. If like Kakashi, Danzo has also been training his Sharingan, it’s even possible he has achieved the Mangekyou Sharingan.
I have some other wild theories without solid proof, so I’m just going to throw them out there.
1. Danzo’s Sharingan belonged to Obito Uchiha, whose left eye went to Kakashi and right was taken by Danzo. Obito’s right side was crushed, so this could explain Danzo’s Sharingan’s strained appearance. After learning what Rin had done for Kakashi, Danzo could have forced her to perform the procedure for him and killed her afterwards to conceal the secret.
2. Danzo’s Sharingan belonged to Itachi. Maybe Danzo is in league with Madara (Madara’s order for Konoha’s destruction benefited Danzo the most). Madara took away Itachi’s body after his death. Perhaps he gave one of Itachi’s eyes to Danzo as part of a deal they have.
Alright enough about Sharingan, lets go over the rest of the chapter. Another three new shinobi are introduced: three of Danzo’s top Roots agents, Fu, Torune and Terai. He sends Terai to go deal with Kabuto and has Torune and Fu accompany him to the Kage Summit. Fu’s face kinda looks like God Realm Pein without the piercings, so maybe Kishi’s running out of good faces to draw. Torune looks more like a real ninja because he actually wears a mask LOL; I have a feeling he might be the sempai Sai was talking too way back when he first received his mission to watch over Naruto. So I guess the list of people going to the summit is complete, too bad my Naruto’s as Danzo’s bodyguard theory didn’t come true but it seems Naruto will be heading there anyways regardless.
After getting the living sh*t kicked out of him by Karui (geez, Sakura has nothing on this girl in the violence department), Naruto is still adamant about not ratting out Sasuke. Instead, he wants to go speak with the Raikage and convince him to forgive Sasuke. Knowing Naruto, he’d probably be able to do it, but first he needs to prove that Killerbee is still alive and well. Kakashi, knowing that saying no to Naruto will be pointless, decides to go with Naruto and drags along Yamato for the ride.

first? Yeah I think that Danzo stole his Sharingan from a dead Uchiha, it seems like him, plus that would explain a lot of things like his need for Orochimaru and such… There’s still a posibility he’s Madara and I’m not laying it to rest just yet, but I think it’s more like him to graverob

I think u really needed to point out the fact that (a) danzouu doesn’t want Naruto to leave konoha and (b) if they fight their way out that is pretty much tantamount to missing nin status I’d assume. But good summary

that is the page with the most info in it (on who’s attacking Danzo), I’d like to point out two things 1. it looks like Kohana Anbu (they have the vest and masks) 2. what is that just off center of the mid panel? it looks like Tobi’s mask to me, any other explanations? (It also kind of looks like a foot? maybe? take a look….
I speculate that they are the ANBU still loyal to Tsunade
Has anyone noticed that danzou has a scar across his left eye like kakashi. Probably coinsidence but they both have that scar and they both have a sharingan implant.
I think that Danzou’s sharingan is Obito’s because of the strained appearance.
Also Danzou could have used a jutsu like orochimaru’s and taken over obito’s body to obtain the sharingan. He kept the deformaties that obito recieved from being crushed and kept his normal appearance from before.
I think its some inconsequential nins attacking him and the whole point was to show the sharingan. I fully agree that danzou’s sharingan is under strain but I think its from overuse ie he has had it since before kakashi! This is where his connection to orochimaru may come in, ie; oro and kabuto helped in the transplant but oro chose not to do it himself because of the way it drains ur chakra since its not natural, hence his reason for wanting sasuke’s body
The people attacking danzou look like jounin or chunin because their vests cover all of their shoulders. They don’t however have the red swirl on the back so they may not be konoha ninja and they are wearing bandanas which will probably have their forehead protector on them.
great chapter i dont think danzou is madara or obito although its a great twist but i agree with bob a little overdone, wonder whats going to happen to naruto will he be attacked by danzous root for leaving the village and the news of madara will circulate but i dont think sauske will be forgiven, he needs to be punished and naruto will have to carry that duty, i just hope the fighting is just around the corner and we dont have to wait another two months for it, madara vs danzou that sounds like a good fight

I think that a new type of dojutsu could have been introduced and danzou could have stolen it from another village that may have been distroyed in a ninja war hence no reference to it so far.
I still say that Tobi and Danzo are the same person. There’s just too many coincidental things going on. The hair, eye on the same side, they’re about the same height.
Also I would like to note, that although Danzo has apparently not hurt anyone, neither really has Tobi. Everytime we see him in a fight it’s usually a type of projection or phasing he does. People jump through him!
The most he has done is pick things up.
I suppose you could say that Danzo has a ’split’ personality. Tobi, the goofy, sinister, masked guy. And Danzo, the formal head of discipline.
Why not the too radical opposites? Perfect cover for his plans and ROOT henchmen.

well i would have to agree on stealing it from someone else who was dead, but the fact that Danzo was in league with the hidden rain village, to take over konoha, it wouldn’t surprise me that he is in league with madara and akatsuki. Notice root wasn’t involved in helping with defeating Akatsuki. I never have liked Danzo, but who knows he could do good for the benefit of Konoha! I think Madara could be beaten by Naruto, that is why he wants to hurry up with his procedures! Taking out the kages though, that could be bad, and all villages might join together against akatsuki. who know Sasuke might come back to konoha after naruto demolishes him but who knows Kishi is good at surprises!

I just noticed that Fu and Torune’s names are a play on the word ‘Fortune’. Great post Bob-sama, but Obito’s right side was crushed, not his left. I’ll give a more substantial comment later once my laziness wears off

Has anyone considered the fact that Danzou is just Danzou, I mean we really don’t have any reason to believe that he’s someone else other than the Sharingan and that case then Kakashi maynot be Kakashi!LOL Let’s just stop with this Danzou Madara Obito crap and just see what going to happen because all of this debating is starting to take the fun out of it!
I think we should focus more on the Hokage summit and what’s going to happen because that’s the whole point of this chapter. I wanna see Naruto and how he is being escorted to the meeting like he is Hokage and it seems he may get Danzou in trouble because he only suppose to have two escorts. Maybe Raikage will be in trouble too!
I also want to see Sasuke ’s attack this is going to be awesome!
I think that Kishi is doing to the Sharingan what he did with the Rasengan, giving it to even the weak and undeserving characters just because it would help them out…
Hmm…it’s seems though that Danzo and Tobi/Madara are probably the same dude, I know Danzo’s Sharingan looks strained, but if you look at Tobi’s eye, it’s only showing the pupil while the rest is covered in shadow…so there’s a chance maybe that they’re the same.
Nice summary Bob and love the theory you gave us. It gives me more idea abot Danzo’s secret but it was not really taht surprising. I think I would have to agree with yellowflash2 on this because Danzo is just danzo no matter how you would think of it because it’s obvious that he stole the sharingan from a dead uchiha or maybe even killed an uchiha himself to obtain a sharingan at the cost of losing body parts (he got OWNED).
@ mart, so far the only weak and undeserving character w/ the Rasengan is Konohamaru, and the only character of that description 4 the Sharingan is Danzo

yup. but he’s giving it to EVERYONE… it was cool when only Minato (who is dead), Jariya and Naruto then Kakashi had it which was ACCEPTABLE (but not great) because he had to learn it to create chidori, then Konohamaru gets it an thats the tipping point where it’s gone too far…. same thing with the Sharingan except with bad guys…
naruto is going to help find killerbee, he’ll soon get a chance to talk to the raikage, the raikage will understand naruto and how he feels about sasuke and forgives him only if sasuke is willing to change his ways, meanwhile sasuke is trying to kill the kages but is getting his butt handed to him, madara will soon come out of the shadows and soon every village will know of his survival, when naruto finally finds killerbee he will be in the middle of a battle with kisame, after that naruto will have to fight madara and sasuke, sasuke will switch sides and help naruto defeat madara, madara will reveal the truth to why his sharingan is damaged by saying that the 4th managed to pluck his left eye out when he was caught off guard. madara will try to go in narutos conscionse and try to convince the kyuubi to join him and try to use his chakra to control naruto to make the battle easier, the fox refuses because he still holds a grudge on him, well thats all i got about predictions for the future
it is possible that madara might need the nine tailed foxes help to defeat naruto, but that just means that the nine tailed fox is gonna get his payback for controlling him
oh god, this manga should be named “Sharingan” not “Naruto”. Kishi even made Kyubi related to that Sharingan. this has become disgusting. next will be what? Rock Lee is a member of Uchiha clan???
and then there comes Naruto’s heritage. Yamato and Sai wasn’t surprised that Naruto is 4th’s son. does it mean that everyone (ninja) is aware of Naruto’s heritage except Naruto himself??? and then there comes another question, why Kakashi didn’t help Naruto when he was all alone??? he even abandoned (and lied to) Naruto to train Sasuke.
and now I’m feeling bad for Orochimaru. he didn’t do anything that can’t be forgiven, right? he should have been alive. Sasuke is lucky (or others are unlucky) that Kishimoto is writing Naruto, otherwise there would have been less bullshit concerning Sasuke.
clue427 has given some prediction. the last few chapters were completely predictable, specially the new one. so i think his prediction might come true, specially the part of forgiving Sasuke will surely come true.
and when sasuke and naruto defeat madara, sasuke will be like, oh i wish i good come back to the village with you naruto but i’m a missing nin and i’ve done a lot of bad things so i cant just go waltsing back into the village and be friends with everyone again like nothing happened. and besides if that does happen then the other villages will probably think that konoha wanted me to leave the village and join akatsuki in order to make an alliance with them and another great ninja war will begin. so in order to keep the peice between the villages i have to stay away from you and konoha.

This whole Sharingan business is kind of getting old. Every time we turn around, someone else has it!! And I’m starting to suspect that maybe doesn’t want anyone else to know. Not to mention that either Orochimaru and/or Kabuto might have had a hand in it as well, cause Danzo seems to be exremely concerned with Kabuto falling into someone else’s hands besides his. One more thing, just how IS Naruto going to convince that crazy Raikage about forgiving Sasuke. Not to mention I wish that Kishi would have Naruto reveal who his father was to everyone else, I’d love to see the expressions on their faces.
@busshybrow-sama: I’m still not buying it. Danzo did say that he is fighting after a long time, but Tobi/Madara is always constantly on fighting. and then there are the eyes, they are different:

@busshybrow-sama: I think that only KEY higher ups knew. I doubt any civilians, lower ranked ninja, or any of the konoha 11 ever knew, or still know for that matter. Why else would the 4th be concerned about keeping Naruto’s identity as his son a secret?

OKAY JUST READ IYT AND HERES MY TAKE>
Danzo said he hasnt been in battle in a while.
1) at first i was with the whole tobi is obito thing. I may not be wrong(read further)
2) Danzo appears almost directly after the whole saving gaara arc and we see cose up of his face with right eye in bandage (suspiscious~)
3) Danzo turns out to be an evil coniving bastard almost immediately.(motive)
4) Tobi is first seen saying he’s a good boy , But then we see his personality switch to SECRET evil leader of akatsuki. THIS IS CRUCIAL!
5) Shortly after we determind TOBI IS MADARA! We do NOT however get confirmantion he isnt obito.
6) The “NEW” theory come up that TOBI/MADARA is danzo. A revelation that seem’s to fit the bill.
7) Danzo is shown to have the Sharingan in his RIGHT EYE! SAME AS TOBI AND SAME AS OBITO! (obito’s right half was covered by the huge boulder so his sharingan could have been intact.
9) Tobi hasnt fought in any of the battles we’ve seen him in, only spectatng and comenting. This could be CRUCIAL!
NOW THEN! With all this said here is my new theory.
10) THERE ARE TWO TOBIS!
Yes amazing as it seem;s their are two tobis! First of all when he first appeared he was all childish and playful. second pain regarded him as someone who is easily replaced (after the first “DEATH” of sasuke when we thought tobi died with his partner) But then we see him in this new light, as a strong, no nonsense type of person. WHY THE CHANGE? WHY THEN AND NOT BEFORE? Because there were two! Yes thats right! Obito WAS tobi! the first tobi! He was the one who infiltrated akatsuki and learned their secret’s! He was a part of the fight that sasuke had with the clay dude (I keep forgetting their names) but after that we see him able to do these awesome new space time jutsu’s! Then Danzo (who is the real madara) took over as tobi full time and had obito (he probably saved him and made him serve him) fall back and play the part of danzo for a while. But now Madara is back to being Danzo since he wanted to be hokage which is what he meant by saying to the plant dude(sorry i just cant remember their names right now) that he had some business to attend to and that’s also why Tobi didnt want to confront sasuke when he was going to konoha because he knew that he wouldnt win as TOBITO(tobi obito). This also explains the whole “havent been in a fight in a long time” thing that TOBIZO(tobi danzo) said.
Now then this is a somewhat speculated theory but it also has a cool point. TOBITO is friends with kakashi. Now if TOBITO were to confront KAKASHI (IT WAS TOBIZO WHO TALKED TO KAKASHI AND THE OTHERS DURING THE BROTHERS FIGHT) what would he do? would he try to help kakashi being a long time friend or will he forsake KAKASHI since he couldnt protect RIN? Oh and another point this would explain why Tobi and Danzo could be in the same place at the same time. HOPEFULLY YOU ALL WONT CALL ME CRAZY AND SOME OF U MAY EVEN THINK I”M RIGHT. SO THANK U FOR YOUR TIME.

I Say Shisui Uchiha because if we look at it this way Danzo is what? 70? or just about as old as the third Hokage so something tells me he got his eye WAY back in time maybe even before Kakashi’s time or not sure if it was when Shisui died.
Maybe Danzo did order Itachi to kill his best friend and partner Shisui to test out his sick theories about the Sharingan even before him owning one as i take it Danzo must of read good the rumors of the great Madara Uchiha and the 9 tail fox i know that Bastard must of been hiding more than what hes barking >>, so definitely for sure Danzo got his eye from Shisui but makes me wonder why just one >> when he could of had both, maybe he wanted to try out one, just for the heck of it, or Shisui must of damaged his eye the moment of his death so they wouldnt get it as he must of found out everything before his death.
To me its the least that it must of been Obito face it no one can leave the poor lad to rest in peace as they drag his name through the mud so often his left eye was practically CRUSHED! and theres no way it can be Madara’s brother were talking about more than 100 years ago lol, so yeah i take it Danzo must of pact with Orochimaru in the past during his SICK happy experimenting days and he came out with theories of his own about the Sharingan, and used Itachi, i don’t think Danzo got his eye from Itachi, cuz they were already wasted to begin with lol.

At the “Why didn’t they tell Naruto” debate: they were ordered by the 3rd hokage to not dicuss any of that stuff because of the Fox.
A side thought that Occured to me: Itachi murdered the WHOLE uchiha clan, he then had to leave, OBVIOUSLY if Danzo ISN’T Obito or Madara or Uchiha X (though it could still happen if he was one of these) then his Eye had to come from some where, and the most likely place he would get it from would be the corpses of the Uchiha from the massacur (note he didn’t have the eye pre-pain meeting which was pre-Massacur [one reason I'm saying this theory is now more likely than the Danzo = Madara theory] ) because no Uchiha could love him enough to voluntarily give him one (he hated all of them…) SO what if he didn’t just take ONE eye? What if he took them ALL? He could have an army of one-sharingan-eyed root agents twice the size of the original clan. He knew from Kakashi (who transplanted pre-massacur) that it would probabaly be forever active and a massive drain and other complications, so he wouldn’t implant two eyes because he would need one for every day life. He would also need to hide the eye (as he has) and would probably do the same with this army… J-A-T (Must pay $3000000000000000000000000 to Zep in royalties for that phrase… to bad they are Shannaro dollars worth absolutely nothing [bad exchange rate...] )

@Elleiy-sama: You need to get some of your timeline events straight, 1. Itachi is younger than Kakashi is 2. Danzo is 79, he might have been a kid when Madara left the village depending on timing, the Third (who is younger than him) WAS taught by the 1st and 2nd Hokages after all.
i agree with yellowflash, screw it, danzo is danzo, btw has anyone predicted Kishi…. really and truly? he never fails to surprise me. So just forget your cocky predictions, and wait till next thursday night!!!

Hrm i dont understand why is everyone saying Danzo and Madara could be Obito? i mean Obito wasnt the only Uchiha member alive and wen he died everyone was rushing on his dead body to steal his organs? i mean ther was heaps of Uchihas back then and people like Danzo and Madara could have taken from anyone of them.
Well cant wait till nxt week to see wat Danzo can do? and i think Kakashi and Yamato will have a show down with Root trying to stop them leaving the village.
@Bob your theory on Danzo getting one of Itachi’s eyes I think is off. Sasuke has his brothers eyes.

good point thats why i try not to argue just make an educated guess but alot of people do have excellent points but i like to wait and see what happens next that way im never wrong but never right in nuetral territory, who attacked danzou is more important now then that, might create a little conflict than we anticipated, and lastly whoever said that kakashi and yamato are escorting naruto as if he was hokage was the best comment said so far
We really need to get back to HOW NARUTO WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE THE VILLAGE! As far as danzou goes, he could easily have taken the sharingan either during the ninja war or the massacre or kidnapping an uchiha with orochimaru. So lets forget about this whole thing!
The importance of the sharingan the way it constantly features is simple, Naruto is only around because of the sharingan, konoha only exists because of the pact between the 1st and madara therefore something so important and sinister HAS to feature
@ bushybrow, the reason y ppl didn’t believe u is cuz there was no evidence until now. so while i may b wrong (but ppl have speculated plausible ways that he isn’t, even w/ the Sharingan, so i’ll b neutral from now on) i do kno that u r crazy and u did have 0 evidence up until 24 hours ago.
@ suna, i don’t think Obito fits into this unless his right Sharingan was stolen. i really think the point of the Kakashi Gaiden arc was to explain how Kakashi got the Sharingan, nothing else.

sheesh, i feel worse about this manga now that Danzo and Mandara might b the same character than i did when Kishi made Nagato go all rainbows just cuz Naruto quoted a lame book some crazy (meant in a funny way) hermit ,that Nagato KILLED IN COLD BLOOD, wrote 4ever ago. and trust me, that was way to f—ing “Power Ranger”-ish 4 my taste, and if that didn’t piss me off more than this did, then u kno what i think of the most recent chapter
another big question I have is why did danzouu wait so long to go after kabuto, because when it comes down to it, he has been the head of anbu for a minute and they have virtual carte blanche to operate above the hokage and only answerable to danzou. My theories are: 1. He had been working with orochimaru to perfect the transplanted sharingan (something that wasn’t successful that’s why oro wanted a complete uchiha body. 2. A perfected sharingan will enable danzou to control kyuubi, something he needs to be able to do in order to solidify his position as hokage 3. The transplant is defective
Kazekage-dono, I totally agree with your theories, they all seem very plausible.
What I like about this chapter is that Sai’s personality is really developping well, and also I totally love Kakashi’s reaction to Naruto’s revelation about the 4th and to his plan to go and talk to the Raikage. Kakashi is really one of the smartest and most insightful people in the Naruverse and he proves it yet again. It is great that he obviously believes in Naruto as well, just like Jiraiya did, and is ready to risk everything to help his student on his quest for peace.
Man, I’d love to see Kakashi kick some Madara ass! I don’t see who else can stand up to him, certainly not Sasuke who, in my mind, has lost much of his strength after losing the cursed seal. Sasuke needs to whip his ass into shape without Kabuto’s drugs and Orochimaru’s experiments as soon as possible, or he won’t stand a chance against any of his possible opponents (the kages, Naruto, Kakashi, Kabuto, or whoever).
Ok after seeing what clue wrote and the other post where Sasuke is Hokage is completely acceptable and extremely possible. But the whole “Im a missing-nin, I cant come back” is too…BULLSH*TTY, would Naruto the future 7th Hokage let the Ninja System get in the way of his Bond with Sasuke…I really doubt it. In fact I think the Kages will, Narutos brave fight against Madara will spark Sasuke to save his friend from death and they’ll both defeat Madara. Sasuke will gain EMS and as much as I think Naruto should die, Sasuke and Naruto become the new 7th and 8th Hokage.
@ ihciraku, i think (and hope) Mandara will b defeated by Naruto and Sasuke working together. after KB comes back, KBro will forgive Sasuke and then Danzo will die allowing Sasuke to come back and then Sakura will go all crazy 4 him again, but Sasuke won’t b annoyed by it anymore, instead feeling nostalgic, and Naruto moves on to get Hinata who’s been cheering him on as his fan girl and the 2 have alot of babies

@ Jet Prime I have a feeling that Sasuke’s hatred, at the moment, goes beyond just one man (Danzo) – the kind hates the whole Konoha and the whole world too, so I don’t think that Danzo’s death will solve anything. He didn’t come back to Konoha after Itachi died, because he didn’t come to a closure (thank you, Madara, for being such an as*hole).
Sasuke will simply have to let go of his hatred and forgive the big bad world of ninjas that left him all alone. After all, he is not alone and eventually he will realize that (there have already been hints, when he went with Suigetsu to pick up Zabuza’s sword, and again when he was fighting Killerbee). He is simply afraid to love because he has lost everyone that was dear to him, but he will have to let go of that fear at some point and I am sure that Naruto and Sakura will be there to help him.
look back to the pain ark! Danzo has always had a badage over his eye!! so maybe hes always had the sharingan since Itachi went postal!! there must of been quite a few dead uchiha with sharingans! lets not forget that you need to be a very skilled ninjas to force the sharingan out and not every Uchiha would be able to do this i dont think!!
most battles in Naruto are 4 vs 1 in which the 4 are actually skilled ninjas. QUESTION: DO U THINK (and answer with facts) THAT NARUTO COULD WIN A 4 VS NARUTO BATTLE? Minato, orochimaru sUrely could and most of akatsuki can and have (at least held their own)
danm, I just relized that becasue he was missing an eye before the Itachi massacer it makes it unlikely that that is when he got it, HOWEVER, he could still have been crippled before it and only gotten the eye afterwards (because he was crippled and didn’t use the sharingan in the Past Pein story.

@marti1, the bein battle doesn’t count, pein had been using up chakra fighting the other konoha ninjas, so he wasn’t at 100% additionally, the six paths are still one villian. Need more evidence. Additionally, anbu has been instructed to not let Naruto leave the village, and fighting his way out or running away is going against the hokage and konoha. Both of which wud screw up his integrity as a future hokage.

I don’t know what other “Proof” you would take… he’s never been in a 4 vs. 1 battle sided against him so we don’t really know, he does however have much more chakra than normal so he could keep going if he was smart enough to stay alive.
At Naruto leaving the village, it’s not like there’s another option for him leaving the village without fighting or fleeing, it’s not like he can talk to ROOT, they only listen to orders. thats where FTG would come in cuz he could escape without them realizing. The other option is a mass shadow clone jutsu and henge combo, but that diidn’t work on Ebisu so why would it work on ANBU?
Actually mart, he wouldnt have the chakra of those bodies….they are corpses! They are dead, so no chakra. All the Pein bodies ran on Nagato’s chakra.
Corpses still have chakra, look at the bodies that Oro. used to fuel the Reanimation jutsu, they still had chakra. Pein’s bodies act like real people, if they eat and breath and such they can have their own chakra. Pein used his chakra to control the bodies but didn’t neccesarily provide them with it. and even if he did, those ninjas had the chakra levels OF 6 seperate ninja WAY above normal, they aren’t neccesarily seperate but if they were just 6 ninja and not just Nagato then it’s still proof he COULD take 6 ninja.
If he didnt provide them with it, why’d he need to cut the chakra being transmitted to them to give GRP enough power to flatten a whole village?

@ kisu, i agree w/ mart that corpses can have chakra, but u need to do something w/ them in order 4 them to keep that chakra (Nagato gae them Rinnegan, Oro put his soul in their bodies, Sasoari turned them into puppets) so it’s possible and i think it happened w/ 6-Paths o’ Pein, tho they still relied heavily on Nagato’s chakra to keep it that way

Right here it says when all 361 chakra points are closed and chakra stops flowing, the person dies http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Tenketsu, so if the person dies doesnt that mean chakra will stop flowing? Thus equaling zero chakra.
Chakra is the energy present in every cell of the body http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Tenketsu, and corpses have DEAD CELLS! So no chakra! In fact the only reason the Six Paths didn’t rot is because Nagato’s chakra was flowing through them via the chakra rods, which act like artificial chakra points.

Kisu. that says that closing all of the Tenketsu causes death not that death causes the Tenketsu to close. Nagato is basically playing Frankenstien with the bodies and bringing them back to life AND then controling them. This is shown in three places 1. the Pein’s pre-attack talk that shows they have seperate personalities (though Nagato controls them) and 2. When Nagato brings back Kohana’s recently dead ninjas. 3. He tries to take over an already living Naruto
@mart, I dont think he brought them back to life, if that was the case, why is it that when Naruto pulled out the chakra receptors, GRP laid there motionless? Simple, it’s becuz they are still just corpses and thus not having any chakra. About the dead villagers: He revived without the use of chakra receptors and thus THEY ARE LIVING, but the six paths ARE TRULY DEAD SHINOBI.

one dies when your lungs stop working, does that mean that if you get stabbed in the heart your lungs stop working? simply because something CAUSES death doesn’t mean it is created in all deadly situations. As far as Pein not moving, Naruto killed him with the Rasengan, he only removed the chakra rod to find Nagato.

- Kabuto is like a male version of Karin: hero-worships bads guys. Can’t stand on his own in terms of confidence and direction and only sees himself as a tool. No one who has used Kabuto would want him to fall into an opponent’s hands, he knows too much. I’d want him silenced too.
Crazy theory section (no proof, just what ifs):
- danzo is an uchiha w/ a normal eye implanted so he could be viewed as a Senju
- root is comprised of uchihas w/out the sharingan

why Danzo would hate so much tsunade and the first hokage….if he would not be madara? he is not even an uchiha? probably the reason why madara shows one sharingan only is because he has only one sharingan eye, so could be possible that he lost his sharingan and then he has got his brother’s eyes to achieve the highest power, but one eye went bad anyway? (there is no proof that the first damaged his left eye).

@ any1 who gives a crap: this has nothing to do w/ anything, but i just watched the new Shippuden ending and it had most of the characters in bathing suits, and Hinata’s breasts r second only to Tsunade’s in size (unless either Anko’s or Kurenai’s [neither character in the ending] r somewhere between, but it looked fairly close between Hina and Tsuna) the ending also had a slight (actually, a major) resemblance to a soda commercial
okay, i think i’ve found some definitive proof that Mandara and Danzo r different: on http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/396/17/ , Mandara’s eye looks like a normal, unstressed Sharingan, then on http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/455/17/ , Danzo’s Sharingan looks really wacked-out (all the viens in the eye itself bulging and looking really bad), so unless a couple of days to a week or 2 did that much damage to the eye even tho Danzo said he hasn’t fought in a long time, they r different ppl, just w/ some similarities

Nagato himself STATED, that all the BODIES were DEAD corpses…now im too lazyy to go and check where it said this, but its somewhere…anyways nagato used those bodies as a protection from the side affects off using the rinnegan, channeling all his chakra in ONE body has extreemely Dangerous reprucussions, namely he ages. as was shown NUMEROUS times when he over-used his power..so YES the bodies WERE dead.

. God Realm Pein was already dead, so what he did was incapacitate GRP, probably the rasengan destroyed a few chakra rods.
@JPUA, any respectable ninja would study w/e technique they use extensively. In Sasori’s case, I would theorize that when he fought the Third Kazekage, he studied his magnetism and replicated it when he turned him into a puppet.

Ok, lets say u guys are right, and a dead body has chakra, I would assume that this chakra isnt long lasting, and when the tenketsu fully close after death the chakra would br gone. This would also explain why Nagato has a time limit on how long bodies can stay before becoming not compatible with his resurrection technique. Which would in turn me that Sasori turns bodies into puppets shortly after he kills them. Either way, the Six Paths are dead, and they all run on Nagato’s chakra.

Meh it’s pointless even if they are using Nagato’s chakra he has 6 times as much as the normal ninja does.
@ kisu, i think that there is a time limit 4 the chakra nods, but if sopmething happens to the corpse w/in that timeframe their chakra is preserved to some extent, but maybe u r right and Nagato wasn’t relying on the corpses’ chakra but purely his own, but if that’s the case, Nagato would then have the chakra level of @ least 6 high-level shinobi each w/ huge chakra reserves, in other words, @ full power, Nagato = somewhere around 6 Narutos, so then, the PathsoPain r still pretty powerful and since they can act seperatly (as in: Nagato doesn’t get 2 different Paths confused and have Hell Realm try using Shinra Tensin) and each have their own techs they r pretty much like 6 different opponents, and yes u could try countering that w/ how summons or ninken r the same way also, but honestly, i think those r unfair advantages too

i will tell only one thing. doesn’t tenketsu help in chakra flow? so if the tenketsu were closed in dead body, then even Nagato’s chakra won’t be enough to control those bodies. because if there is no chakra flow (assuming that tenketsus are closed), there is nothing to do with chakra. so i think you are wrong about tenketsu being closed.
and for Sasori you are saying that he made the third kazekage into puppet just after his death. so, how can you say that Nagato didn’t do the same thing?
@mart thank you for the compliment about my theory (see WAY above…please do) but really if we pick and choose only the theories we like such as the “steal eye from massacre” then we arent being real consperency theorist’s (did i spell that right?) Sometimes we have to go with the less exciting but more realistic theories (such as the whole danzo is just danzo theory) to be true conspiricy(i think thats it?) theorists. Thats not to say that we cant come up with awesome theories like mine, but we shouldnt try to pick and choose them.
@dark prince their is a flaw there with pein doing it right after death. if you remember those men from the village were bringing the already dead body to him in the tower so there is no way that it could be right after.

by the way, Nagato gathred dead bodies in the tower, but for what reason??? It’s not like that Nagato choose Paths of Pain from the tower and Nagato can rebuild Paths of Pain, then what’s to do with the dead bodies in the tower? it is sure that Nagato didn’t use them as paths of Pain. so, the bodies in the tower had other purposes.
@darkprince, ur misunderstanding my point. If tenketsus close when a person dies, that explains the chakra rods. There are dozens in each Path of Pein, which means that they act as the bodies’ tenketsu. Remember when Naruto got pierced by the chakra rods? He felt Nagato’s chakra ‘pouring’ into him, which proves that the chakra rods do transmit Nagato’s chakra.
Here’s something to wonder about. If Kisame is supposed to have the most chakra in Akatsuki, and Nagato’s chakra level equals that of WAY more than 6 gifted ninjas, just how much chakra does Kisame have? A whole freaking lot.
@kisuzachi: well, when Nagato put the rod into Naruto’s body, he was trying to control Naruto with his own chakra. it doesn’t mean that Naruto had no chakra at that time. may be the chakra rods are for controlling the body.

yes the black rods are chakra receptors that allow chakra to flow to that part of the body, the bodys also are containers that store a certain amount of chakra depending on how much that host can hold! so nagato has allot of chakra but he also has the other 6 paths bodies chakra as well!! like having 6 batteries! but obviously if the bodies have spent there chakra nagato has to use his own! im sure nagato has use some of his own chakra anyways too manipulate the bodies but maybe he pulls some from the host hes manipulating at the same itme so its kinda like a chakra loop!

Sasuke was given Itachi’s eyes but no one knows what he’s done with them but I doubt that he would give those eyes to Danzou after the story Madar fed him, and Sasuke’s a little egotistical and may feel no one is deserving of them except maybe Naruto. Danzou was aware of Kakashi’s receiving his Sharingan via Obito. And Madara I assume unless told otherwise has both of his eyes. I doubt, and I’m suprised no one’s mentioned this, Madara/Tobi/Danzou can’t be the same person, because unless Madara knows a technique that would allow him to be in two places at once, or Danzou is an extention of Madara via a technique similiar in a way that the Six Paths of Pein were conncected to Nagato, or maybe Danzou is a kage buunshin of Madara, but then that would be one long ass on-going technique, but no one really knows how long a shadow clone can be maintained then they have to be separate people. We all know the latter two fought for the title of Hokage jus as the two founder of Konoha also once did and Sandaime won. So it makes sense that it was a Uchiha who challenged him… Following me? The Uchihas weren’t exterminated by Itachi yet and if that Uchiha was of considerable skill then it would make sense for him to challenge for the top spot… And on a side note. Is it common knowledge that the Sharingan is transferrable? I mean it’s traded out like baseball cards. AND ONCE AGAIN AND FOR ALL ETERNITY THE SHARINGAN CAN’T HOLD THE RINNEGAN’S SWEATY STAIND JOCK STRAP. Hence Pein would murder Madara. The Uchiha’s are always losing.

pein has a great chakra reserve, but its not the size of six regular naruto’s
remember when naruto JUST before he went into battle?? he made TWO clones RIGHT before he left to go fight pein
which means that naruto was only fighting at a THIRD of his FULL power for most of the fight until he went into kyuubi state…..so just 1 THIRD of naruto was fighting ALL six pein bodies….so im saying that naruto’s chakra is about even with nagato’s…Nagato just uses extreemely advanced chakra receptors to channel his chakra into bodies, the reason he does this is because Using the rinnegan is VERY dangerous, as was shown numerous times that i have pointed out…
kisame also has a large amount of chakra, but i doubt its much larger than naruto’s regular amount…if i had to guess, i would say kisame has about twice the amount of naruto’s NORMAL chakra…

@”@darkprince. That’s all I’ve been trying to say” Kisu, thats not what he’s saying… He’s not providing the chakra to the ARM but to the brain/spine in order to control the arm, it’s like that one guy from bleach with a thousand eyes, it’s much easier to control one body part over several.

@smartass the natural chakra from senjutsu surely countered kage bushin! Anyway new theory, DANZOU has MADARA’S eye’ consider: 1. The first defeated but did not kill madara therefore he had to have incapacitated him 2. sharingan abilities are housed in specific eyes so he incapacitated him by removing his kyuubi controlling eye 3. This eye would have been stored because it is so powerful and stolen when oro stole the 1st & 2nd’s bodies 4. the lack of his kyuubi controlling sharingan is why madara needs sasuke who has eyes as sinister as his. If my theory is true then DANZOU summoned the kyuubi 16YRS ago because he was pissed at not being made the 4th and wanted to show that konoha had and was being led by a weak ruler. Kinda like how he used this recent attack to justify him being made the 6th

its said clearly in the manga that using clones splits up your chakra EVENLY he had 2 clones, no matter WHAT HE WAS USING THEM FOR, he STILL was only at a THIRD of his power… he only realeased 1 clone after dealing with about 3 or 4 peins, which means he was only fighting at HALF his chakra amount while his last clone was still on mybokyozan mountain, and eventually he did lose his last clone when he went into kyuubi state… and that was when he was fighting The last Pein body

Kishi likes to prove us fans wrong, everytime… I don’t think any of us will be able to say “I told you so”. I think Tobi is still Obito I think the body transfer Jutsu Oro uses may have been key, except he still keeps traits of the other persons body, that why he switches all the time between one and the other… what I do not understand is why give Sasuke that statue thing if you have MS?
I think because Donzo was there when the Uchiha where eliminated I think he may of gotten his eye like that, but what I do not understand is why can’t people who aren’t of the Uchiha clan turn off Sharingan, ie Kakashi, and Donzo?
I don’t make therioes but heres some ?’s and points.
1 donzo had scars like kikishi but tobi did not. so like kikishi donzos is implanted.
2 personally i think madara is just a name tobi is using for intimidation to prove it madara had the ETERNAL MS so he couldn’t have the sharingon in its base form like tobi.
3 i wonder what donzo ment about his and orochmarus shared past last chapter it may explian how donzos secerat came to be.
4 i also think in order to gain a sharingon like kakashi and donzo the donor has to be alive and his kekeki genki active
5 plus in nagatos flash back when he was still a kid orochmaru was still with kahona, and shortly after (make note this is all before the uchiha massicare) when pein fought honzo? donzo was there and his eye was raped then.
6 also what did tobi mean (when he stoped sasuke) by that pein was going to have to use the jutsu that he revived the villigers with on him; why is that?
7 maybe tobis abilities to be literly untuochable is a condition not a jutsu.
8 or it could be somekind of clone you just dont know
for now i just want to know what yall think of this meeting as for as i know they are restricted to two gaurds but theres includeing the cloud team and narutos theres going to be 13+ uninvited geast persoally i see a trainwreack coming

FROM THAT POINT. HE REALIZED IT WAS POSSIBLE TO UNDERGO AN EYE TRANSPLANT AND TOOK ADVENTAGE OF IT.
Didnt Danzo have that eye bandaged when Yahiko was still alive? i need an answer, did Obito die around the time Yahiko died?
i assume danzou has already gt the mangekyou sharingan and by the looks of it hes used it alot. didnt mandara say in previous chapters(eg the reason for taking his brothers eyes) that his brother had become blind for using the mangekyou sharingan too many times. by the looks of it danzous pupil is that big it is nearly touching the tomo of his sharingan meaning soon he will beocome blind in that eye. hes prob looking for kabuto to helping him rejuvenate his right side of his body. and maybe oroichimaru was the one who emplanted danzous sharingan.
and finally DANZOU IS NOT MADARA!

Danzo had his eye bandage at the time he met with Yahiko, Nagato, Konan, and Hanzo. This was LONG BEFORE Obito died, just look at Nagato’s age compared to Obito’s.

okay, there is stil talk about Danzo’s Sharingan, my theory is this: he worked w/ Oro, lost an eye in battle a really long time ago, and latter had it replaced by an Uchiha’s eye by Oro and now it’s acting up cuz Oro didn’t do a good job w/ the implant
that or its just because he’s old and the implant is starting to strain not only his eye, but his body
@shantu I would say that he refused to implant them, but he still has them some where
Mart, tobi did say Pein was suppose to use the jutsu on him and not on the villagers. Danzo has scars all over, so i think that was what gdsgddb meant
@kisuzachi: Tobi said that Nagato was supposed to used the eye that way “for” him, not ‘on’ him. there is a huge difference.

i think Danzo is Obito. The rock didn’t kill him but left him half disfigured. Hence the strange psitioning of the Sharingan Eye and the fact that he walks with a cane on the same side the rock crushed obito
If Obito was alive he be Kakashi’s age not an old man. I think Danzo was the 2nd Sharingan user who help Itachi kills his clans not Madara and the clans was working for Madara. Remember everything Madara and Itachi told sasuke are not entirely true.

just when you thought you got this manga figured out the author changes it! bang! lol , the sharingan is from itachi’s friend that he killed. When itachi was young his best friend was regarded as the best in the village with a unique sharingan that lets you influnce people’s minds. Itachi killed him and the eye was transplanted to danzo (we seet his in the latest manga).
Oh yeah if the current Mizukage uncovers her right eye and shows a sharingan/byakugan, I’m giving up on this manga! Too many implants! Well at least this time it was a Byakugan (finally Byakugan gets some limelight), but I hope Kishi explains why the dead Hyuga’s Byakugan wasn’t sealed by the Curse Mark.
